Funny that we had the same waiter for this lunch and our dinner at Avalon grille. Julian was great and when we ordered the fish and chips (excellent by the way) to share, he brought us two plates already split...Sounds simple, but itâs attention to details like this that sets a restaurant apart. Food was great and the people watching was fun!

Fabulous dining experience with friends. We had reservations between JazzTrax concert sets. Our server was welcoming, accommodating and our open-air dining was perfect. As I understand, M is not always open, so you must plan ahead. The farm fresh entrees were served quickly and exactly as ordered. We had time to enjoy refreshing cocktails and the view before this perfect dinner. Knowledgeable wait staff and a varied menu ensured a memorable experience. We'll return next year. Very highly recommended!

I have been coming here my whole life and will continue as long as they are around. Always friendly service and the Portuguese French Toast is heavenly as well as the grain pancakes. Best!!

After our island tour we stopped in for some refreshments. They were about to close but still served us and were friendly. We ordered drinks and sat outside and people watched. Drinks were great.

The lobster was too obviously frozen since it was watery making the taco shell soggy. The crab cakes have too much meal mixed in to be called crab cakes. Halibut sandwich very good. Staff friendly and efficient. Fun, atmospheric little restaurant.

Located next door to the beautiful Pavilion Hotel, right on the main street as you enter from the harbor. Open front, fun, loud bar. Have a Wiki Wacker and get your own island straw hat!

Surrounded by the rugged beauty of Descanso Canyon and the clear blue Pacific Ocean, Descanso Beach Club features Avalon's only beachside restaurant and bar, where you can enjoy appetizers, entrées and signature cocktails, like our famous Buffalo Milk. Fo
After driving the golf cart over near the casino, we decided to stop and check this place out. Love that all the places have golf cart parking!! Decided to hang out by the beach, people watch, have lunch and a couple drinks. It was fun to people watch. The beach area is nice and you can rent kayaks and paddle boards. We got a table right away on the water but our server was terrible. My husband & I ordered lunch and then never saw him again. We asked for our server numerous times and he never returned!! We eventually had to speak with the manager. He did apologize but it made our experience bad. We ordered a burger, salad and sweet potato fries. All were just ok. For a vacation spot, this is not our type of place to go. If you like really crowded places with crappy service and over priced food, this place is for you! Only place on the island we had any trouble! We are very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience - we aim to provide excellent service and would love to speak more with you about your time at Descanso Beach Club. Please email us at [email protected] to discuss further.

Come in and get hooked on the best in fresh, sustainable seafood. Enjoy a waterfront patio, full bar, happy hour, stunning views and a pet friendly space. Bluewater Avalon is a must-visit favorite located right on Avalon Bay, over the water in the histori
We sat out on the deck on a cool night but the heaters worked great. Our server was super knowledgeable of the menu and wine list and we felt very well taken care of, not rushed at all, despite sitting down early on a Saturday night. They have a great CA wine selection and the food tasted great! We will definitely be back!

Our last night there and we had no reservations. Just happened upon Steve's and what a wonderful choice. Food is delectable, and, although there were some technology issues that evening, the service staff overcame any wait or hiccup and made the evening even better! It's a must-do if on the island! Dear Guest,I am glad our 'hiccups' didn't interfere with you having a wonderful experience and dining with us was the perfect finale to your stay on the island. It is always rewarding to receive such positive feedback. Thank you for taking the time to share your comments on TripAdvisor. We value your business and appreciate you dinning with us and recommending us as a must do on the island. I hope your trip to Catalina was memorable and you will visit again sometime. We look forward to welcoming you back to the island and to Steve's. As always, it will be our pleasure to serve you. With warm regards from Catalina,Steve and Margaret Bray and our family at Steve's Steakhouse & Seafood
