We stopped in on a Sunday and tried the all you can eat Chicken Fried Chicken and Fried Catfish. It comes with a good salad bar, rolls, a vegetable, choice of potato and cobbler and ice cream. The Fried Catfish and was lightly breaded and seasoned just right. The breading on the Chicken was a little heavy but the gravy was wonderful. Our waitress was extremely friendly and always had a smile. They only accept cash or checks but the tax is included in the price and the all you can eat was only 13 dollars. The cobbler was good but I would skip the ice cream as the consistency was a little off but after all you can eat you donât really need it.
I ordered a fish meal. The menu choice was for a four piece catfish. It was really two pieces of fish, but sliced in half. So I got four small pieces of fish, plenty of fries and I subbed cottage cheese for the coleslaw. It came with a piece of Texas toast, but it didn't seem to have been grilled with any butter. I asked for some ranching dressing. There was an upcharge and the ranch did not taste good (the flavor). The restaurant appears clean and the restroom was clean. It is tastefully decorated. The server was pretty rushed, even though the crowd seemed average and she didn't ask if I needed anything else. I don't think I was offered a tea refill. It was last week when I visited, so I don't remember all the details.
Variety, price and service can't be beat. As a treat I buy my granddaughter lunch in morning before I drop her off at school. If that's all it takes to make an 8hr old happy I'm in. And I'm the best Grandmaw!
