Really warm and welcoming old building, decor very comfortable. Service very attentive. Food hmmm...couple of 2 Wednesday night 6:30, very quiet. Seated and waited upon quickly. Drinks perfect. Myself, had the 6oz filet med rare, perfect, add on 14.95 lobster tail, not good, tough, flavorless had to cut with steak knife, actually very bad. Asparagus or something that use to be was overcooked, mashed and gravy had enough sodium to salt NC roads in the worst of ice storms. Wife had Rib Eye explained in detail, twice med well with emphasis towards well, arrived med of not med rare, horrible cut, grizzle and fat, returned. Salad was good, side and loaded baked, they forgot cheese and had a single bacon bit. Do not think we will return or reccomend. And as we wished it to be good.

A lot of choices on the menu. Very reasonable prices, three of us had lunch for less than $20. Their burgers look great, I will definitely be back to try one.

Yes, its a sports-themed restaurant (lots of TV screens going), but we make it a point to stop here when we pass through for the great food (generous portions), wide variety of beers and other beverages, and the consistently friendly and attentive service (when is the last time you saw an OWNER move through the dining area straightening chairs, picking up dropped napkins, and sincerely interacting with patrons?).I always go for the barbecued ribs ( 1 1/2 racks! ). This is great value and great food and drink in an informal setting. Highly recommend.

Small little place, nothing fancy but good food. Not greasy at all!! My favorite place to eat an omelette and drink tons of coffee!!

I have never eaten here except for breakfast, but that is always very good. Theyrecently went under new management but I can't tell any difference in the wait staff or the food. I like fresh fruit with my pancakes and waffles, but it is hard to find in the winter. They offer it but you must ask and it is usually considerably more If you get the pie filling stuff there is no extra charge. You can even get sugar free syrup if you want it. I really enjoy their omelets too. They offer a variety of them including vegetarian.

Went with friends on a Sunday afternoon before the Summer Concert Series. The menu was filled with great sounding food. We all ordered different things and traded food. We each had plenty of food and leftovers to enjoy later. Pleasant atmosphere, plenty of tvs to watch sports.

Rather than eat at the Zoo we decided go to Under The Bun for lunch. Probably arrived a little after 1 on a Monday. Busy but some tables available & no wait. We had a Hot Dog & a Burger along with onion rings. Everything was good, burger excellent. Prices very reasonable & service attentive. Very good stop,

Stopped by looking for lunch, they were crowded but fast. Ordered the sea bass, it was pricey, so I had expected a large meal. But it wasnât a large plate of food. Had it over sautéed vegetables, which were made to order. But the fish, not sure if it was once frozen, because it had a wierd crust on it, when seared. Not sure because I havenât had sea bass before. My take on it was we are too far inland for them to keep a fresh stock everyday, and because of the cost, would the dish turn over quick enough to not have waste. Conflicted by the cost and the seemed small portion of fish, but taste and flavor were very nice. Texture of fish was tender like lobster meat, so I enjoyed chewing each bite. In the end, I left satisfied, and not stuffed. Check out line was long, and only one cashiers ringing up orders. Still got in and out in half an hour.

We stopped at the Americaâs Roadhouse in Asheboro NC on the way to my family reunion. This restaurant was very friendly. We were seated quickly and our waitress was there very fast. This restaurant has many selections and combo meals I had a three entree pick your own meal. I chose a 8 oz Grilled Salmon, a 6 oz chicken breast and an 8 oz sirloin steak. This came with fries and baked beans. It came on a humongous plate and filled the entire plate. It was delicious. My 13 yr old grandson ordered a 3 item plater also and he got fish, chicken fingers and popcorn shrimp. It was heaped on the same size plate and although he tried he could only eat half of it.

What a gem of an eating place! Best fried chicken I've ever had. Wait staff was very friendly. The owner came out to great us, and you can tell he takes pride in his establishment, it certainly shows. If I ever return to Asheboro, I will return for more.
