Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.
In downtown Hickory Hollow, Tennessee. Really. Middle America's idea of a middling American restaurant.  Sort of a grown up "family friendly" place, trying to be a real tavern.  More like an Appleby's without the class.  Or like a Denny's on not enough steroids.  They even have a cashier station at the exit ... maybe it's one of those fake-steak buffets with low wattage lighting?  Or an Asian restaurant with not one of our far eastern friends in sight and the woks manned by high school sophomores. There was nothing wrong enough to stand out, just nothing that stands out, period.  For example, the menu is straight outta some textbook, with nothing exciting or unusual, and most everything registers sky high caloric content. The bar looked decent but the taps were the usual boring lager suspects except for a Blue Moon and Stella Artois, a nod to the exotic apparently.  Not even a nod to anything darker than a light red and definitely no high gravities.  Disappointing but then my experience is that Tennessee is an ale desert. However, they have the same awesome bread rolls one would find at Logan's ... So that's a good thing.Service was spotty, with the place maybe almost a third full.  I sat at a bar hightop and was greeted by the barkeep quickly enough.  Unfortunately, she had not even the basic knowledge of what beers they offered.  [From my table the taps faced the opposite direction and I didn't recognize one of the handles so I asked...she didn't know.  Finally it dawned on her and she triumphantly declared, "that's our IPA!"]. She soon returned to take my order and the food arrived as would be expected.  Except I had to ask, second time, for my tools, and for another beer.  Which beer took almost ten minutes to show up, and I'm sitting only 3 meters from the taps.I enjoyed their Low Country Shrimp which was half a dozen medium shrimp in a very nice, chunky Creole sauce and brown rice.  Quite tasty with the only problem being the portion (billed as a full portion) was skimpy.  I'm an old guy with a small appetite and I wished it had been about 50% larger. Then everyone disappeared for at least 15 minutes, leaving my detritus to sit forlornly on the table. [this sentence deleted because it was too snarky even for me]. However, when she came to clear, she also had my check.  No waiting for that (I've read the other reviews). As I gained an hour on the drive into this part of the world, and had skipped lunch, and was not satisfied by my smallish entree, I yielded and ordered some pecan pie.

By far, the best catfish I have found in the metro area! Additionally, the vegetable sides are so good! Definitely home style, cooking at its best. We went for lunch and had excellent service! Plenty of free parking and reasonable prices makes this place a definite winner! I will definitely be a repeat customer at this restaurant!

One Saturday we ventured up the road to this cute little sandwich shop with the funny name... and we were greeted by a kind face behind a captivating deli case full of yummy-looking sides and desserts. With so many delicious choices, we opted for the "special"--which was indeed [deliciously] special!--and a Rachel sandwich, with a side of pesto pasta. Both were mouth-watering good. I have a feeling we could try every item on the menu and be pleasantly satisfied. Ample servings, with some to bring home. Try it, you too will love it!
Weâre a family-run Nashville tradition. We opened our first store on Antioch Pike on March 1, 1978. After 40 years of serving this town and surrounding areas, we know that we do hickory smoked barbecue right! We hope youâll come taste for yourself.
I have never had a bad experience at Whitt's BBQ, any location. They are always consistent with their quality and their service. This location is a drive thru or walk up location only, they do not have an eat-in area. Wednesday's are 1/2 price sandwiches day. Their family packs are also a good value. They make their own BBQ sauce in 3 different types. I would highly recommend this BBQ to any local or visitor alike.

Unlike the last review.... my wife and I had good service and good food. We arrived as soon as they opened. There were a few order dailys but because the service was so good.... it was accepted and unnoticed. A manager came out and apologized.... which shows that customers are appreciated. He also adjusted my bill for the order delays... that's always a nice touch. I haven't been there in a long time but because of this experience l will now frequent dislocation a lot more.

The food is good there and the menu is varied. I find the steaks to be a bit high ($26-$32) for a very casual restaurant. Some of the wine prices are really high too. There are other options that are moderately priced. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
S&H is the best pizza! I love the smokin Herb pizza then adding smoked chicken or salmon. PREAM is really good too but I just prefer toppings on the lighter/healthier side. I know it's pizza. Atmosphere is amazing and good beer selection.

Great southern food served family style in a historic setting. Monell's at the Manor is located in an old antebellum home and our service is family style. No reservations, first come, first served. You will be placed at large tables with other people and
Southern Charm at it's finest! This is a family style restaurant as mentioned in other reviews. The food was amazing! Southern fried chicken and Catfish, fried Okra, corn pudding ,mashed potatoes, collard greens, hushpuppies, cornbread, cucumber salad, biscuits banana pudding sweet tea and lemonade. All for $16 and I know I'm forgetting some dishes. It was a great experience and great food. A must when visiting Nashville!!

I donât usually give burger places and pizzerias a 5 because even if theyâre great can they really compare to a great fine dining restaurant? Iâm making an exception for Burger Republic because I thought their burgers are that good. I had the Anniversary Burger and it was one of the tastiest burgers Iâve had in recent memory. Simply delicious, large, well prepared and topped with terrific ingredients. They also offer a variety of tater tots. The sweet potato tots are awesome. While I didnât have the room to try one, this restaurant also specializes in milkshakes which looked great on the menu.

With 24 taps of local & regional craft beers and food created from local ingredients and made fresh in our scratch kitchen, Homegrown isn't just a name, it's what we do. We are a laidback neighborhood hangout serving up the best of Nashville within 10 min
We weren't sure what to expect when we tracked this place down in the middle of a strip mall--with the windows boarded and tarped over. Turns out someone decided to redecorate the place with their car--whoopsies...but we were pleasantly surprised by the rest of the visit. It's a tap room so they pour lots of brews from different places--some on tap, some not. Beertender was really nice and knew his stuff--we ended up with chips and salsa after we were informed we'd entered during a 2-for-1 happy hour. Couldn't let that 2nd beer go to waste! Varied menu--it all looked really good. Nice neighborhood location and comfortable atmosphere. I'd come back!
