Things to do in Anaconda
Not quite sure how to describe the Locker Room, it's kind of frozen in the mid 20th century when the Western Montana copper mines and smelters were running full tilt. (so are other places in Anaconda - West of Butte). It is run separately, but in conjunction with a restaurant. There's a great digital juke box and on many nights either a DJ or a live band. There are a few taps and several bottle selections along with hard liquor, this isn't a martini or trendy new cocktail bar, this is the way things were. It's a Beer, Rock and Rye, Rum and Coke, Whiskey and soda type of place. It's also connected to Gallicanos which is listed as the best restaurant in Anaconda. You order your pizza in Gallicanos, walk down the hall to the Locker Room and have a seat and a drink while Gallicanos makes your pie. When the pizza is ready you can pay for it and then bring it into the Locker Room to enjoy. The place is also a local hangout and generally the locals are friendly - as is Scotty the owner (a former collegiate wrestler of some note). They also have a full length shuffle board table (a dying breed of games) that's makes for an evening full of lightly competitive entertainment if you're traveling with a group of friends that just can't resist it. So as for the four star rating. If you are expecting a trendy, fancy place with upscale décor this might not be for you (same with other places in Anaconda) BUT if you want the best pizza in the area and a few drinks in a place set back in time to small town fifties, this will do nicely.

Outstanding prime rib. Ate supper there and had great prime rib. Also ate lunch there and had fish and chips. Fish and chips were so so. Three pieces of heavily breaded fish. Decent flavor. Good service. Very friendly waitress. Bar is attached with cacino if you like one armed bandits.
Gave this new place a try for a late lunch. The restaurant was clean, service was good, but everything else was marginal. Sandwiches were hot, but the fries were warm at best. Portion size was less than expected. Good thing we added a trip to the salad bar or we would have had to hit a fast food restaurant on the way out of town. Thought they were also a little pricey for the portion sizes. Realize thry just opened, so in fairness to them we will give them another try
The dining room at Old Works features comfortable seating and beautiful views of the Anaconda Pintler Mountains. Relax and enjoy a variety of items that are sure to please your pallet, from either our breakfast, lunch or appetizer menus. Or, simply hangou
very nice and the food was adaquate...great views of the area...a little pricey but it was worth itThank you for sharing your feedback and we hope to see you again soon!
Brought the wife in for lunch. I went with a cheesesteak and she had a patty melt. Neither one of us were able to finish our sandwiches. What a meal. Food was delivered quickly, it was cooked as ordered, it arrived hot, and was very good. Service was good, the place is small but very clean, AND, our bill was $16.50. Good place, we will be back again, once we digest that monster lunch.

Whenever i stop here i get one of two things; nachos or broasted chicken. Will put these two dishes up against those in any restaurant anywhere. People are nice and service is good. Can get a little noisy with kids, games, and sporting events on TV. But thatâs the kind of place this is, family friendly and good for all ages.

They recently added on or changed the menu but it's a huge improvement, really good food, great selection and always the best pork chop sandwich.

Came here for breakfast. Very cute little cafe. There are a couple cars that have been converted into tables that you can eat at. So cute! The day we came there was only one waitress working, she was running around like a crazy person doing her best. Service was a little slow, but completely understandable all things given. You can tell this is a local joint, at one point another customer was going around to the tables refilling coffee. Warm inviting atmosphere. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Large portions too! I would eat here again if coming through town.

It seems to be a big place with a very interesting interior. We went in for lunch and were very pleased. Nice friendly waitress, it was busy and she did a good job. My wife had 3 different street tacos she said were excellent. It is nice to be able to mix and match. I had a delicious Asian Chicken salad, I get these a lot and this one was very good, great dressing. We'd sure go back, lots of delicious looking items on the menu! It was hopping when we were there and most people seemed to know each other, so I would say it's popular with the locals.
