LongHorn Steakhouse

This Longhorn steak house did not disappoint as I have never had a bad experience at a Longhorn. My steak was cooked to perfection. The only thing that was a little disappointing is that I did not get to enjoy the fresh baked bread. My server brought me out half a load that I was not sure where it came from so I did not eat it.

I tried for 3 days to reach restaurant by phone to make reservation. Left messages. Twice someone answered phone and when I told them I wanted to make a reservation, I was disconnected -- twice. So then I used "Open Table" to make reservation. Day before dinner, they called me to say they had problems with cell phones. When we got to restaurant, they didn't have Open Table Reservation, but one of my calls went thru. And they had a table -- small 4 top against back of serving counter. I asked repeatedly for another table in another room and Kerry kept telling us this was best table. HAH! On other side of counter was ice machine and back of ice machine motor blew warm air underneath our table. But we had the best table she kept telling us. Then the band began to play and we had to scream to have a conversation amongst ourselves or with waitress. All the while, a room in the back was about 10 degrees cooler than where we were and the music wasn't blaring. Oh and yes, they had empty tables. She told us next time we should sit outside if the music was so loud. Well -- there won't be a next time. If they didn't want to fulfill my request for a nice, quiet dining experience, why should I (or anyone) return.

Very bad experience. First, there was no A/C on, leaving the restaurant very hot, hard to breathe. Second was flies...lots of flies. Third was their chicken breast. Very small compared to the last time I was there. They were out of lids for the soda and the condiment table was a mess. The food was ok and that was the only saving grace.

I need to clarify that this review is for the new location in MILFORD OH not Amelia. Anyway my first experience here was not a good one. Ordered 2 burgers and fries to go and when I got Home they shorted me a burger (and you guys want $15 / hour?!). My wife's Burger was overcooked, dried out and devoid of flavor. Stick with Steak and Shake...they not only cost less their burgers are moist and juicy.

Chili must be more coney-like. It seemed really mushy and lacked flavor. I even added hot sauce, salt, and sugar. I like cheese a lot but this was almost too much. I guess it is not what I am used. I like trying something new but this didn't do it for me. Not sure if Goldstar chili would be any different or satisfy me any better. I like tomatoes in my chili and didn't notice any in this. On the upside, service was very friendly. Son ate his up though. Just too different for me.

Restaurant is dirty, lots of litter on the floor (paper, cup lid, food). Restaurant was not crowded when I went in, No one ever tried to pick up litter on floor. Obviously no manager to oversee it. Orders were incorrect, as well as the bills. Received 2 different bills, both incorrect. Person who appeared to be manager only appeared at checkout when I stated my bill was incorrect. She was very unfriendly and hesitant to remove the drink from my bill that I did not order or receive.

First & last visit. Food was extremely generic & disappointing for a mom & pop place. I expected good home cooking, but got canned stuff, industrial food. The juice on veggies tasted like city water with traditional chemical flavors in treated water. Nope.
