Lovely small restaurant situated on the waterfront. We specialize in local dishes all cooked to perfection on a charcoal fire, for that special and true taste. Come and have great experience with fantastic food.
Between all the German orientated restaurants in Swakopmund, this was a really nice experience. I had a lamb potjie with pap; although a little bit to salty for my taste, it was really nice! In the restaurant, a groep of women were celibrating a birthday, which provided some extra local culture experience to the food itself. The staff was very friendly and gave a goog explanation of the food. Of you are really hungery, try the meat platter, it is huge and looked very nice. All in all, very much recommended!

This was a lunch stop during our tour of the Mondesa Township (the tour operator, Heini from Hafeni Brothers Adventures, owns this restaurant). We were served a variety of traditional African dishes -- chicken, spinach, cornmeal, beans & their take on donuts. The food was delicious. If you're feeling brave, try the Mopane worms. My 10-year old and I did just for bragging rights. Not bad at all! After we ate, we were treated to a show of a capella African music. If you can take the tour of Mondesa Township through Heini's company, Hafeni Brothers Adventures, I *highly* recommend it.

We felt like being another tourist they overcharged and were served food which was not even worth the name food. what a terrible place these is ! We had oysters as starters , they were served warm ! Not cold, not hot, but warm. absolutely disgusting. When speaking to the owner he came back with a total ridiculous explanation and didn't bother to visit our table for the rest of the evening. Main course , I had mussels, and although promised by the waitress, these were not fresh but reheated and totally like chewing gum. We finished , paid and left, the owner avoiding us the best he could as I am sure he knew , he again made a few bucks on a tourist. Please avoid this place !
