The word Ulusaba was modernized by the Afrikaner colonialists who changed it from Ulusaba (Tsonga) into the Afrikaans "Sabie" .

We had excellent impala and kudu here as well as a great chicken curry for the non-game eater amongst us. We would have come back if we'd had another in Sabie (as apparently not a few people, including the table next to us, did). Great service and atmosphere.

We went on a motorbike tour of the Lowveld during December of 2018, as it happens got caught just before a rain storm in Sabie. Decided to sit it out in a restaurant... African Elephant seemed nice...we were pleasantly surprised! The staff were amazing, the atmosphere great, and the view spectacular. The food was plenty, tasty and well prepared. We can highly recommend visiting this placeThank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed your visit
