I visited this restaurant with my husband and relatives and all I can say is, it is a must visit without a doubt if in the area or near!! We are from Ireland and heard about this cafe. We (my husband and me) had fish finger sandwiches which are not your normal fish fingers. These are outrageously good and totally home made. My other family members had different meals from the menu and again fantastic. It is a mega child friendly cafe with lots of things for the kids to play with after they have eaten, giving you time to eat, chill, relax and soak up the amazing atmosphere there. The owners Hannah and Handre are so friendly and lovely to chat to. I would totally recommend you visit here!!!

Have eaten there three times, once had babotie which was fair, twice had the seafood chowder which was very good and good value the first time but had gone ubbeknown up in price and down in quality the second a week later, leaving me disappointed. The waitron I found to be rather too buddy buddy and disrespectful of my age.I shall not be back as the prices are too high and the choices too limited.Dear Garth, the first time you had it, it was on a special offer (promotion). We did make you aware of that upon you asking for the chowder specifically. I'm sorry if you feel that a chowder with prawns, calamari, mussels & hake isn't worth R85. As for the quality, you are, of course, entitled to your opinion. We are all human, so it's obviously possible that we could have slipped up in the kitchen. I would like to invite you to come and have another chowder. If you honestly don't enjoy it, I'll pay for it.

Celebrated my friend's birthday with breakfast at Villa Villekula - and WHAT A DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS breakfast it was - eggs newly laid from their chickens running free on their farm - Daniella & Willem's hospitality and home made bread can't be beaten. The coffee brewed on the coal stove and feeling the warm glow from the coal stove at our table - made the bacon & eggs & sausage all the more tasty - what a special place, overlooking the beautiful farm dam with an ever running spring inside. This is surely the place for may many more dinners & breakfasts. BOOKING ESSENTIAL!Thanks so much Len for your kind words, looking forward seeing you again

This is located a little outside of Plettenberg Bay. It overlooks a meandering river with spectacular views. The inside decoration is really interesting with many African artifacts. The food was of a good quality. We shared the kingklip samosa to start - an interesting twist on this Indian dish. The fillet of beef was a fair size, succulent and soft. The duck was tasty and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was buzzy. Well worth a visit and we would happily return.

While staying at Hunters Country House we had a meal at Sage and one at Zinzi. Zinzi was nice , lovely setting, but we preferred the more personal service at Sage. Food was good. Bread and dips to start, then we had duck confit and a pork belly. Latter came with a terrible piece of crackling but mash was good. Nowhere in SA have I had crackling that is crispy. Too few carrots. Nice MCC wine and lovely Malva. Good but not as good as our previous night at Sage.
