We have two restaurants (Upstairs or Downstairs). We welcome you with a smile. At Hotel Veldina, ...we go the extra mile.
The place looks nice from outside, there is a terrasse but it is right on Tubman boulevard, so you would eat with the noise of the traffic and all the dark smoke of the diesel, in the middle of gravels and construction material. Better inside. There are two floors. The place looks new and the waitresses are great and welcome you directly. You can order on the counter, for a take away or sit. Prices are reasonable for Monrovia but it is fast food. I ordered first two dishes that were not available then some Lebanese fried food. I had to wait more than ten minutes. There were pieces of cheese rolls. The menu indicated 4 pieces and I got an extra one. Unfortunately, two of the rolls were still frozen inside. Well, it is fast food, I was not expecting great stuff. Waitresses are nice, cooks are young Lebanese wearing plastic hats for hygiene. Almost all the food is fried, but you can have many Lebanese dishes. I would go again, even if I only give 2 *.

I love this place. First of all, I appreciate any establishment that serves breakfast ALL DAY. The staff was courteous and professional. I had the Liberian food (cassava leaf), and it hit the spot! The fresh green juice was perfect, and the great coffee and fast internet service are an added plus. Many will also appreciate the business services that are available on-site. Do you printing and scanning while you wait for your lunch.

It's not glamorous, but it's a great place for tasty, cheap and authentic Liberian food.
It's easy to find when you know where it is, but if you don't, it's very easy to walk straight past it. If you're on Carey Street going west from the junction with Newport Street, it's on your left, partially obscured by a hair salon, set back from the street a bit. The sign says 'Shepherd Inn', but my colleagues refer to it as the 'Good Shepherd Inn'.It's not glamorous, but it's good, quick food. And it's real Liberian fare. There's no menu as such, you just go in and see what's on that day. I first went with a work colleague (who introduced me to the place), and I hope the photos of what we both got load up here. He had the 'soup', which is more like what I would call a stew - with all sorts of unidentifiable ingredients. That was to accompany the fufu (or dumboy, as it's called here). I had what I was assured was a vegetarian dish - cassava greens - but it came with large chunks of something which was later identified as 'cow'. Good job I'm not a squeamish veggie - I just ate round those chunks. Very tasty.Very cheap, very friendly, very highly recommended if you want to try a regular Liberian restaurant.

The menu had lots of choices and the food was pretty good. I am a breakfast person but there weren't as many choices as I would have liked but it was good.

They have quite a various menu where you can choose something you will like. I enjoy the fish and lobsters a lot. And of course fresh coctails and coconut. Ma Ju's & The Burger Spot is Liberia's newest fast food sensation. It possesses both authentic Liberian cuisine as well as everyone's favorite fast food classics. The Burger Spot and Ma Ju's is located in Clara Town opposite Barbar Motors and next to Seth
Finally, a fast-food restaurant that has all the trimmings of a traditional West African cuisine and classic American- style burgers. They have milkshakes, alcoholic beverages, burgers, and Liberian favorites such as Palava Sauce, Fu-Fu, & Cassava leaf. It's brilliant! My husband's first trip to Liberia and he could not get enough of the food. I'm a vegetarian. It's so difficult to find veggie burgers in Liberia and Africa in general, but Ma Jue's hit the mark. It rivals any of the big international chains. The food is delicious and the ambiance provides large jumbo screen, friendly and professional staff, clean facility (including the toilets) to enjoy your meal. A must try!
