Find out what African restaurants to try in Kumasi. Kumasi (historically spelled Comassie or Coomassie and usually spelled Kumase in Twi) is a city in Ashanti Region, and is among the largest metropolitan areas in Ghana. Kumasi is near Lake Bosomtwe, in a rain forest region, and is the commercial, industrial and cultural capital of Asanteman. Kumasi is approximately 500 kilometres (300 mi) north of the Equator and 200 kilometres (100 mi) north of the Gulf of Guinea. Kumasi is alternatively known as "The Garden City" because of its many beautiful species of flowers and plants. It is also called Oseikrom (Osei Tutu's town). Kumasi is described as Ghana’s second city.
Things to do in Kumasi
With the relatively few restaurant options in Kumasi, Abusuaba is worth trying if you're going to be in town for any length of time. I would rate it somewhere in the middle of the pack. The curry/Indian food and Ghanaian food is quite good, and the pizza is average. The wait is not significantly longer than any other restaurant in Kumasi. While it probably won't be anything to write home about, you can certainly count on a solid meal at Abusuaba.
Ol'lady Sportsbar & Lounge Olâlady is the only place in Kumasi to watch all live sports events. We are open daily from 11.00 - 00.00. Come and enjoy our signature Cocktails, Shisha, food and music. Try our Jollof, its the BEST in town.
It's inside the New Orleans hotel in Danyame. Ideal place to watch soccer. It transforms into a pub in the evening and very lively during the weekends. But the music is sometimes too loud

If you are at the Cultural Center around lunch time, you would eat here only because it is a convenient spot. Otherwise I'd skip this place. The food was okay, but it took more than an hour for everything to arrive for our party of 6. One dish came within 10 minutes, the next dishes came about 30 minutes after that, and the final dishes 30 minutes after that. Had only one server who disappeared for long stretches of time. Not a particularly interesting ambience either.

The restaurant is located behind the DHL near Kumasi Fort (Ghana military museum) opposite to Kumasi central post office. (Be careful the Facebook map indicates different site). It is difficult to find at first site but you can find nice restaurant when you step into behind the souvenir shops opposite to the Kumasi post office. You can eat delicious salad at low price as well as Ghanian local food.表éãããã¯è¦ããªãã®ã§åããã«ããã®ã§ãããã¯ãã·éµä¾¿å±ã®åããå´ã«ããåç£ç©å±ã®è£æã«ããã¾ããã¯ãã·ç ¦ï¼è»äºåç©é¤¨ï¼ã®é£ã§ããã¯ãã·ä¸å¿é¨ã§ã¯çããããµã©ããæé ãªä¾¡æ ¼ã§é£ã¹ããã¨ãåºæ¥ã¾ãã

I have visited the new branch at TUC junction on 2 occasions. First time, I got a burger and fries, and it tasted really good. Legit, the best burger I've had in kumasi. Food is very affordable here too with the most expensive thing being not more than 40 ghc. My second visit, I tried the chicken pizza and I was very disappointed. Tasted like bread and shitor, with little pieces of chicken sprinkled on it. I guess i got a bad batch, because my friends recommended their pizza. But it didn't taste good. Pizza cost from 20 - 30 ghc depending on the size

I was in Kumasi lodging in another hotel and got tired of the food as I was getting used to it. I decided to try something new. I went online and check out the Golden Tulip Website and their phrase which says "make your taste buds travel" made me want to try their food and they did indeed make my taste buds travel. I had their lamb soup for starters and I just had to help myself to more servings until I tried their other delicacies; the Thai-style grilled chicken with lemongrass was very delicious. The buffet is loaded with variety and making a choice becomes a dilemma if you want to try everything. I went back there for a few more dinners and one breakfast which I also found to be extremely generous, with the number of items they had to serve.Dear Sir,Thank you for leaving a review and mentioning our incredible buffet. The team at Golden Tulip Kumasi City are thrilled to hear such positive feedback and are delighted to be the best food and beverage service providers in Kumasi, Ghana. Did you know that we have a Sunday brunch where you can eat and drink as much as you like? We are hopeful that you would enjoy that too, similarly our refreshing signature cocktails. We look forward to seeing you again at our Adinkra Restaurant and have a lovely Day!

A good and serious restaurant with well trained and courteous staff. Good meal available. Much choice on the menue card. Although the waiter goes through your order twice, it can happen that you don't get exactly what you ordered. A small mistake I don't really want to mention. Over all I can recommend this restaurant!
Definitely a place to visit in Kumasi. We went in and fell in love with the food , place and Samuel.Typical Ghanaian food made to vegans. We came back a few times during our stay here.I highly recommend !!

Ike's cafe and grill is an afrocentic restaurant located inside the heart of kumasi,Ghana.
Slightly removed from downtown, this place is a haven from downtown, gritty Kumasi. It borders three sides of a square pool with outdoor tables. The food was freshly made and piping hot.The location is in the cultural center which is a large compound with several scattered buildings. Cars and you have to go through a gate with a guard but that isn't a problem
