Switching neighborhoods in Moscow is like going on a little trip. Historical events of decades past have transformed many parts of the city dramatically and keep the pace of change frequent. That’s what true Moscow is – a combination of layers and epochs around the corner: from bohemian Patriarch Ponds to lofty and industrial Red October surrounded by the waters of Moscow river. Exploring different neighborhoods of the Russian capital allows visitors to dig into its rich and vibrant history while staying firmly in the present.

This hotel location is only 20 minutes walking from the Red Square but in a calm street. So easily can be in the centre, but for sleep perfect. The hotel not so big, but the staff are very kind and helpful. The breakfast not was my type, because I like buffet breakfast and choose!

I was there in February 2019. Was not difficult to locate for my Uber driver which I had taken from Airport. It was OK for me as I was attending an exhibition and used to leave in the morning at around 8 AM and returned around 6:00 PM. Good things. 1. This is basically the centre of Moscow. There are a lot of cafes, bars, restaurants, etc in the close vicinity. 2. There are lots of supermarkets and shops around the hotel. 3. There is a Italian pizzeria just below the hotel. 4. There are many banks and ATMs near the hotel. You can easily exchange your money or withdraw money from ATMs. 5. The Metro is walking distance about 500 M from the hotel. 6. There is no breakfast but they have a Kitchen so you can cook your food and use the refrigerator. They regularly clean the Kitchen. 7. The rooms maybe small but there is table and lamp on it. So you can work with your laptop 8. There are small shelves and a small almirah in the room where you can put your things and hang your clothes. 9. The toilet is well cleaned although a bit small. There is always hot water in the toilets and bathroom. 10. The rooms are well heated and there is an additional electric heater provided just in case you feel cold. Since it was February when I was at the hotel it was - 13 outside but still I didn't require the heater as the heating was good. 11. Wifi was good. 12. I had gone to St. Petersburg for the weekend. So they had this facilty to keep your luggage in a small locker. Thanks to this facility I could travel light with just my back pack. But this facility is paid one. Maybe 5 $ a night. Some things which were not so good. 1. The hotel is on the first floor. Hence if you have heavy luggage then you have to carry it yourselves to the first floor. There is no lift. 2. Room was a bit too small for my comfort. I usually do Yoga and could not find enough space for this. 3. You could hear the neighbours if they talked loud. There is not enough sound proofing. 4. The ambience outside the rooms are a bit rustic. It was OK for me but some times it can be a bit depressive. Overall for this budget it would be hard to find a room in the center of Moscow. With so many restaurants, bars, cafes, etd it was good place to be in and you just had to get down to have bite within say 300 to 400 meters from your hotel.

Honestly visited it during world cup. Can t go more by dates. So it was in 2018. Location is great, it is the best ever, i am sure. Restaurants are at your door, red square in 1 minute walk. Main road is at 1 min as well where you can get taxis and metros. All amazing. i admit it is a bit small, and need to use stairs to reach the reception, but the location covers up everything else

Room - extremely clean and quiet, though not very large; staff friendly and helpful; 24 hour excellent fresh coffee machine at reception a great bonus; very good value for money and location perfect for exploring Moscow's main sights. Thoroughly recommended and will use again.

The rooms are comfortable, although the walls are very thin, we could hear the people in the next room. The staff was very nice and spoke English, which is a must in Russia. The breakfast was a bit limited, the guests were only given about six choices for breakfast. The whole windows had no blackout curtains.

Wouldn't exactly call it a hotel, more so of a guest house. Clean and very close to main sights such as Red Square and Jesus the Saviour. However, the toilet flushing issue put me off a fair bit as you have to put your toilet paper in a bin provided in the bathroom.

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel just 10 min walking distance from Kremlin and the Red Square. The room was brand new and vintage decorated but a bit small for my taste. The staff were lovely, speaking fluently English extremely helpful. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast area which is a coffee place in itself. Breakfast was delicious and the interior design very modern. So definitely recommended!

Hotel «Arbat inn» is a separate building with own parking, which is located on Smolenskaya square in the historical center of Moscow. The building of the hotel is located on the second line from the Garden Ring road, on the Kamennaya sloboda street, about 3 minutes on foot from the Smolenskaya underground station. Hotel "Arbat inn" is included in Moscow mini-hotel chain. It was opened in 2017.
We made a reservation, and after two days had to cancel our whole trip because of an emergency. The hotel decided they will charge us for all the nights although we announced them that we must cancel the trip two days(!) after we reserved the room and there was plenty of time before the reserved dates! We tried to talk to them numerous times but they just don't care, money is the only thing they care about. I guess that says a lot about the hotel owners and/or the staff working there. Beware!
