The place looked appealing from the outside but I found the food to be reasonably highly priced ... for Thai in Brunswick.I had a Phad Thai - ample prawns / a nice egg - but the noodles were glass like noodles and gooey - I found eating the meal a chore and in the first time in about 30 years did not finish the plate. Lots of chillies and nuts on the side.We had an Aperol with dinner - no price on the menu for this.We were sat close to the kitchen area and the lighting was quite poor and the table next to ours was almost touching. The waiters and staff who dealt with us were all really friendly.

Family friendly dining in an authentic Japanese ambience
This time we had a lunch family gathering. The restaurant wasn't busy and the service was excellent as well as the food. Great choices from the lunch menu and easy to make selections. Will definitely visit again.

=Straight Outta Saigon will bring you the best from the south of Vietnam. The newly renovated restaurant has a much similar ambiance to the sister restaurant Hochi Mama. The rustic-street vibe restaurant will focus on bringing the best from Saigon with a
My 11yo daughter and I came here for dinner in between shows of The Cursed Child. Nicole and all the girls on staff were extremely welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious and the overall service was exceptional. I highly recommend dining at Straight Outta Saigon!!Great to have caught you and your family in between the play, Kaktus! We're looking forward to seeing you again.

Fabulous little place with a small range of outstanding Vietnamese dishes. Authentic fried Vietnamese spring rolls to start, with some lettuce and fabulous asian herbs to wrap them in, served with dipping sauce. Pho to die for: traditional beef or a mushroom version that will blow your mind. The pho broth was the best I've ever tasted, the mushroom version contained 4 different types of mushroom. Chicken rice was a dish of delicious fried chicken on broken rice with a herby salsa, fresh herbs, and fish sauce. Not cheap but very cheerful, and our little toddler granddaughter was cheerfully assisted with provision of high chair (and table moved to fit us all in). Outstanding food and service.

Welcome to Longrain, Melbourne. Our menu brings together South East Asian influences with the best Victorian produce. Inspired by the communal eating philosophy of the Asian table, our menu is made up of dishes created for sharing. Large servings and comm
For a 5:30pm reservation with the restaurant 25% occupied it is strange that we had to have the fixed banquet, which was hardly inspiring, nor worth the money- due to staff that came and went without notice (4 different drinks staff in over the course of 90 mins), and food that was seemed like it was prepared en-mass. Dessert was a small sliver of chocolate cake with shavings of coconut served in a small bowl with a spoon as garnish. Really? To rub fish sauce into the wound, 10% compulsory tip added to the final bill, and when ordering $100 bottles of wine, that seems a little steep. Won't recommend as Melbourne CBD has much much better options.Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to read your review. We are sorry to hear that you were not aware of the 10% 'discretionary' service charge. We do disclose that there is a 10% discretionary service charge added to the bill for all large group bookings when making a booking online or over the phone. This is also mentioned on our confirmation emails sent to all guests before arriving. At Longrain, we pride ourselves on meeting our guests with a general consistency of great service, food, drinks and atmosphere. We regret that your experience was not as you expected it to be.

We waited for more than 1 hour to get a dinning table on a Friday night, but IT WAS WORTH IT.Never tasted calamari so good with Thai sauce. The BBQ lamb ribs were succulent and just melted in mouth. Thai BBQ chicken was soft and tender but appropriately grilled. For vegetarians the mini Banh Mi and Ma Hor were unexpectedly very tasty. We were 6 adults in which 3 were strictly vegetarian and 3 could eat anything. Having vegan option in the menu was great as it met everyone's requirements. Person who served us had really good understanding of all food and her advise was very helpful.

What an unexpected treat!I stumbled across this place for lunch whilst in the city visiting an art installation. My local friend joined me and said sheâd been trying to dine there for ages (no bookings for evenings).Chose the banquet and where left well beyond full. The smoked chicken salad is to die for. Cocktails are a winner with daily specials and an exquisite Vietnamese inspired take on the classic espresso martini.Looking forward to revisiting soon.

Located at 15 Hardware Lane, just off Bourke St in the CBD, Rice Paper Sister offers the same fresh, organically sourced ingredients and inviting atmosphere as Rice Paper Scissors, with a "finer" dining experience.
I met friends from near and far recently and we were all so happy with our experience here. We shared all our dishes and there was not one that was disappointing. Stand outs, in my opinion, were the kingfish sashimi, duck pancakes, dory and the lamb. All super tasty and some unusual parings of flavours. One friend was gluten free and all meals were adapted for her which was fantastic. The cocktails were really impressive too. I would definitely return.

Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway, Hochi Mama is a fun and relaxed restaurant/bar serving up modern Vietnamese-inspired street food. Expect interesting interpretations of traditional classics, as well as more contemporary Asian Fusion menu items. In
Exceptional food and staff...could not fault this restaurant. Great value with their $65 deal for two people with meals that kept all the taste buds firing. Would highly recommend if you are doing a night out at the theatre or even just a nice dinner out.
At Davidâs Spicy Pot, you can enjoy more including Sichuan âMao Caiâ (either in spicy or non-spicy) as well as quite a few authentic Sichuan street foods. In order to bring you the most authentic Sichuan flavour, we prepare the âMao Caiâ soup base by adop
I have to say this place was a total waste of my time and money. The place is OK, the food is totally forgettable.Four of us had lunch here and we all left with one question, who would ever want to come back here ?Spicy 2 minute noodle soup like experience, but it was a weak effort at that.I also disliked the fact that we ordered Spring rolls but you do not get as many as the photos show it.I also had to ask for rice multiple times, so OK they can not cook but the service was also lacking. You can do so much better if you are in the area, move on nothing to see here.
