Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in Brno, Moravia, Czech Republic. The charms of the Czech Republic's second-largest city may not be immediate, but spend a few days in this Moravian town and Brno's vibrant, authentic Czech ambiance will win you over. It's a fine way to experience Czech life without the teeming herds of tourists that visit Prague. Art Nouveau, Empire and Neoclassical buildings stand in the bar- and restaurant-packed old city center. Leafy parks abound. Be sure to get a photo with a local landmark, the suspiciously crocodilian Brno Dragon statue.

The family and I were only in Brno for a couple of days. The lady on reception in hotel mentioned that she had visited this establishment recently and had a very enjoyable time. It was within walking distance - so be booked a table for that evening. Even the booking of our table during the lunch hour was a very friendly experience- not sure where the previous mentions of unfriendliness can derive from unless the place has changed owners?!We shared three main dishes and some sides - which ranged from beautiful schnitzels to one of the most delicious smoked sausages with an array of mustard and sauces I have ever had the pleasure of eating.Service always with a smile - and although my wife and daughter were on non-alcoholic beverages (very tasty) - my two beers were delicious. My favourite of the entire trip!We may well be back in Brno during 2019 - and if we are...we will be back.

3.5 stars. The cafeteria concept restaurant is popular with the Czech folks. The food is already premade. Got the beef frankfurters with horseradish and mustard, butcher chopped sausage with horseradish and mustard. Along with braised beef neck, with craving and dumpling. Definitely go for the butcher sausage and braised beef neck with carvey and dumpling.

We wanted something traditional czech, so as per recommendation, we visited this restaurant. The location is really convenient in the city center. It is not in traditional style, but that was ok to us. Service could be a bit better and more attentive. The food but was great! Goulash soup is not the classical one and was a bit salty. But the main dishes - moravsky vrabec and svieckova were just amazing! Highly recommended. Also coffee service was nice. The food had big portions for a reasonable price.

Do you want breakfast at 9 pm? Do you want champagne for lunch? Do you want a party with a business meeting together? Do you want a Czech Steak and Gyoza dumpling? Berlin lemonade from Brno or a Thunder in semolina porridge? Imagine a bedroom, where Maril
Myself and my partner visited for breakfast this morning having read all the good reviews. We were certainly not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. Although the menu was in Czech our server explained the menu very well and we decided to go for the pancakes and bacon. I must say itâs the best breakfast Iâve had for a very long time. The food was very tasty and presented really well. The bar is very clean and well presented. Amazing with the fact that this place is only closed for 2 hours every day!!!I would certainly like to try this place for food later in the day but unfortunately we ran out of time on our trip.If we do visit Brno again this will be top of our list to visit for a drink and food.Dear Knotty,Thank you for your amazing review! We really love to hear you had such a great experience with us and enjoyed our delicious breakfast. We also appreciate your comment about our cleanliness as our staff are doing their best in keeping our place as cosy and well presented for our guests as they can :)We would love to see you both again when you are in Brno next time!We wish you a pleasant day from the whole team,Zuzana

Excellent Czech cuisine, great atmosphere and best beer in Brno. The famous Stopekâs Beer House has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. There has been a pub here since the second half of the 19th century. It became fa
The restaurant was obviously full when we decided to eat there, crowded, all seats reserved.. A good luck arrived while passing one table for four with only one guest, and we asked. We were seated, the French guy visiting Brno was hungry, so we were, too... We ate, we were talking together, no problem, only we had to ask for evey single beer regardless of previous reviews left here "waiters gave me beer I did not order"... Obviously they were very busy, because a special reservation made in a higher floor was "closed society only" (security ensured and enforced:-). That's it. Give it a chance...

It is nice place to sit down - inside/outside -, drink good craft beer and eat some local dishes. The only "but" is that the waiters could smile sometimes, and the waitresses wear more proper clothes ( very short pants fit more on the beach )

This must be know as a really good place for beer, as it was completely full on Sunday evening. It's clearly a beer place and the beer landed in form of me without ordering it 2 minutes after I found a place to sit. I heard that they have good meals that you can have with your beer, but I haven't try anything to eat, so maybe next time.

We were told this was a really good place to have dinner so we went twice. Twice because the first time we didn't manage.... and this is the reason why it loses one star. The first time it was packed. We enter, we understand it's going to be difficult but we have a look around anyway, just in case a table is close to leave soon. We are totally ignored by all the waiters for a good 10 minutes, while we were trying to just asked if it was possible to wait to be seated or we had to come back. The best answers we got to our "excuses me..." it's been "NO". So yeah, we leave. We come back after a couple of days and it's way betters. We seat where we want, because we keep on being ignored by the waiters. But we also have good food, typical Czech. We pay with by card and our waiter points out that the tip can be put on the card. Sorry man, you were not too bad but your "NO" colleague just went too far to leave any tip at all in this place. It's a bit pricy (the most expensive dinner in 5 days) but fairly worthy.

I have to say that there is possible to find good lagers and the service is very fast - but you have to stand (which gives the name to the pub, of course) for prices which are a bit high compared to more comfortable restaurants nearby.
