Easy to find off the interstate. Good menu selection, reasonable prices, good attentive servers. My husband and I had chef and taco salad. They were delicious and full of meat, cheese, and vegetables, very generous portions.

1St Drive-in in the state of Montana. Authentic 40's diner with its original fountain, counter and cast iron grill. Matt's is known for its 100% ground round hamburgers, homemade fries and ice cream. It has been family owned since 1943, and prides itself
We stopped here on our migration north. Read good reviews. Small diner tucked in off I-90. Seating is 15 counter stools. Looks like an old fashioned soda fountain. Burgers and sandwiches are the primary menu items. Reasonable prices. No credit or debit cards. Local checks only. The burger was delicious and juicy. Choice of toppings. Fresh cut potato fries. Canned soda. We didnât have the malts but the other customers had them and they were good sized. Lots of malt flavors available. Friendly, efficient wait staff. Old fashioned decor that was fun to see. James Beard 2016 medal winner. Clean single restroom. Highly recommend and good support for local business.

Bob and Sandy make you feel like one of the family with their freindly service. Good food and good prices. English muffins are best when toasted a little extra. (also summy side up eggs needs a bit more cooking) . Extensive choice.

I had just arrived in Butte for a two day training meeting. A co-worker and I were looking for something unique that we couldn't find in our home town. She noticed the sign that advertised a Country Fried Steak for like $8.99. We passed it initially looking for something else but then after we couldn't find it, we chose to go back. When we pulled into the parking lot, we were a bit skeptical as there were only two or three cars in the lot. The building seemed in good repair so we went in.We found only four other tables occupied, all by the elderly crowd, but that was okay since we wanted something local. We were invited to choose our seats as soon as we walked in so we took a booth. There was a gouge in the leather on the side that I sat on that had been covered up with what looked like old black duct tape. The nice waitress, whose name we were never able to get, was quick to bring our menus, drinks, salads and our check (it was dropped off at the same time as our main entrees). We both ordered the Chicken Fried Steak on recommendation from the waitress. We were very pleased with the meals. They had great home made taste and the size of the servings were larger than expected, the steak itself covering more than half of the plate and with a generous amount of gravy on top. I am not in the custom of drinking much before I eat so I had not tasted the tomato juice. As soon as I did, I was not happy as it tasted more that tomato water. When Tried to find a waitress, I could find anyone. It was not until two other couples had come in and had sat down that our waitress came back over to us, a time frame of about 15 minutes since we had gotten our meals. I had finished my meal and was wanting something to wash it down. When asked about the meal, I informed the waitress about the tomato "water" and asked for a lemonade. This came really quickly. If you are interested in Keno, they have a live drawing, though I am unsure if there is a set schedule as we saw only two different draws, both relatively soon after we got there and nothing else the rest of the night. They also have other machines though I really did not look at them.
