Located in a beer hall probably constructed in the early 1900's which you will see in many western communities, Mama Stella's is a contradiction. I most of the communities that have similar operations, you would be in the dodgy end of a city and be surrounded by denizens straight out of "One Flew Over The Co-coo's Nest". Not so in Miles City. It is respectable and once you get past the Early Salvation Army decor, its not a terrible place.The pizza was great. Really great. We had a Garlic Thai Chicken pizza that was unique and worth every penny. They have a very good selection of beers on tap and one of the worst selections of wine in Montana. But consider where you are eating. It is not fine dining by any stretch. But if you prepared to experience a different slice of life, this could be you place. It beats the restaurants on Haynes Street hands down. Just don't expect table service or elegant ambiance.

We were there with classmates from high school and had a great time. They let us decorate the back room. Everyone ordered as they were ready. Martha is a server there and she is so friendly and helpful. My husband and I ordered the family order of finger steaks and almost ate it all. The finger steaks are cut and battered. They serve them with a cocktail sauce that is to die for. The fries and onion rings, celery and carrots complete the serving. They are served on a large pizza tin. Oh, so good. When we are in Miles City we eat here because it brings back so many childhood memories.

Just down the street from the Sleep Inn, so we decided to grab a couple of pies before we checked into the hotel.Placed our custom order, reasonable prices and friendly service. Was told it would be about 10-15 minutes, so stopped by Albertsons across the street for drinks.Came back, and our order was ready and made as promised. Deep dish and regular crust both good.
