The portion sizes are huge so come hungry. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Burger was lean and delicious. You can have a salad bar and soup. They seemed to be short staffed, but that is not surprising as many places in the west are having a hard time getting and keeping help. We did not go see the bar as we entered the restaurant from its main entrance at the rear of the building.

Scissorbills Saloon is located at the base of Lone Peak in Big Sky, Montana. Ski or bike in, from Andesite mountain, after a day on the hill, for a full selection of Liquor, Beer and Wine. Whet your whistle with Monatana craft micro brews on draft, our wor
Came here one night and it was packed. No hostess so we felt a bit ignored and left. Returned the next night and found an open table to seat ourselves. Glad we did. Burgers are soooooo good. Would also recommend the beet salad. Service is really good once youâre at a table. The challenge here is finding a seat and youâll have to do this on your own. Not that big of a place so donât be surprised if thereâs not a lot of room. Our favorite place to eat in mountain village.

Reservations are a must, however the reservation system is ridiculous and not closely monitored. Be prepared to follow the instructions on the voice mail (" Leave a phone number, # of people and the requested reservation time and we will call you back "only" if the requested time is not available,"); arrive on time only to be told that they didn't get your reservation because we haven't listened to our voicemail reservation system. Your name is placed on list and they will seat you as soon as possible. So you order drinks and wait a bit, no problem and then, after you have checked and been told that there are some people leaving and you will get a table soon, you order a second round of drinks only to be told, after 45 minutes or so that yes, even though there are empty tables and we can sit at them, they will not be able to take our food order - not even a "to go" order would be placed. They are, however, more than happy to allow you to continue ordering drinks. My very large, family has cabins in the area and have returned each summer for over 40 years and while the food is good, management is lacking and the service has become selective and extremely disappointing.

TA has this rated #1 of all restaurants in Virginia City. This place doesn't try to hide the fact that everything they have is made somewhere else and heated or microwaved. Polish sausage, Tombstone Pizza fresh out of the wrapper into the oven, Microwave pretzels ... all just heated up and served. My Polish was okay as was my wife's pretzel. We would have tried some other place where they do some real cooking but the rating threw us off. People did seem to like the beer. They just offer quick food to hungry people, but #1?

Carabiner Lounge is currently closed for the off-season and will be reopening Thursday, December 5th. We hope to see you then! Enjoy spectacular views of Lone Peak from the deck or savor the Euro-Western atmosphere of the Resort's 4-star hotel from inside
We were staying in the Big Sky resort area and looking for a good dinner without advanced reservations. This was perfect. We showed up at 630 and it wasnât too crowded. Limited menu but nice selections including pistachio encrusted trout and a vegan Kafka that was delicious. The Cocktail menu was enticing with several tempting choices. They had a kids menu with burgers, chicken and salmon. We sat outside and watched the last of the zipliners go by. It began to drizzle and we opened up a black umbrella and it was just perfect. This restaurant is in the summit hotel and wishing we had stayed there. Looked amazing.

Hang out in Ennis long enough and you will quickly see that the Gravel Bar and Restaurant is one of the best places in town for a cold beer and meal. Many of the locals come here for food and drinks. Its one of the few patios in Ennis to dine on and for sure one of the few on main street. Service was great and food was delicious. Many beers to chose from. On tap and in the bottle. Moscow mules are served in a real copper cup and were made the way you expect in Montana. Plenty of indoor dining too.

We stopped here for dinner on our first night in Big Sky. It was busy but the wait staff were good, the food good (and reasonably priced for the area); and the beers were cold and varied. Well worth a visit

Cabin Bar & Grill has a very diverse menu with traditional food (beef, pork, chicken) along with local options (walleye, trout and elk). The service was excellent and our waiter took great care of us. The bison carpaccio was incredibly tender and tasty and the elk was terrific. Save room for desert.

Best spot to eat in all of Big Sky! Not only is it family friendly, but also cost-friendly. All of their food is fantastic including their 3 piece fried chicken dinner, burgers, and all of their BBQ food options and that's coming from someone born and raised in Southern Mississippi! Depending on the business of what's going on in the town you might have to wait for an hour, but their food is DEFINITELY worth the wait. If you do have a little bit of a wait, no worries because they have a ping pong table, pool table, arcade type games and some nights they even have live music.Definitely not the spot you want to miss while in Big Sky!

The restaurant was recommended by my husbandâs fishing guide....and he was right on!! Everything was delicious! The bread and slightly sweet butter was a nice beginning and our salad and clam chowder were both tasty! Our filet was perfectly cooked! The only negative was a barely warm baked potato....had to ask for cheese....no chives! Drinks were good and wait staff was efficient and friendly!
