So I went in here for lunch one day because someone mentioned to me that there was a hot dog place in town that I was completely unaware of. I happen to be pretty basic when it comes to stuff like burgers and hot dogs, and all I really wanted was a basic dog with chili, cheese and onions, kinda standard fare. So I ordered a couple and sat down. When the hot dogs arrived, I was disappointed, not that other people would be, but the hot dog came in a huge roll, like the ones used in Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and the roll completely engulfed the hot dog. OK, there WAS plenty of chili, and cheese, and onions, but with all that and the huge roll, the hot dog itself became kind of secondary. I haven't tried the rest of their menu, even though I may do so, but if you are looking for a basic dog, this isn't the place. The dogs were 4 dollars apiece, and there's a couple of places in town where you CAN get a basic dog for 1.99 for 2 sometimes...but, this place may suit your fancy, and so you might take a look. It just wasn't for me.

Don't let the laid back atmosphere fool you, the food is fantastic. A quirky bartender (possible owner?) took our order and entertained us while we waited. The steak is cooked over an open flame and rare is actually rare.

The Sportsman Lodge and Restaurant were recently purchased by really nice people who care about quality and service. The food has gone up a notch. The inside was recently renovated and the beers were super cold. Love the Hot Pepper Cheese Burger and just a great place to go with the family. Outside patio, casino and bar, Lodging on-site. This is the new happening spot in Ennis.

Now that I rested for the day it was time to head into town for dinner. Don't blink while walking down main st. for you'll surely pass by Bynee's. This is a cool and quaint family place with a nice menu to please everyone. Leave room for the ice cream its made local and has a creamy rich flavor. I opted for the salmon BLT entree and enjoyed every scrape on my plate. Take time with the locals they are a lot of fun with interesting stories shared with pride. Closing time is early 8pm! James M.
We are a Fine-Casual, Rustic Bistro specializing in local products, and making most menu items from scratch. We offer great food at a good price with exceptional hospitality!
I think a new language needs to be invented that includes adequate words to describe how amazing this food was. I travel all over the world and this restaurant ranks at the top of my list for great food, including the homemade macaroons. (Just the right crunch on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth with a hint of raspberry chocolate on the inside.) Bruce, the owner, was friendly and engaging. We were with a large group of friends so ordered a wide variety of meals. Every meal was fabulous, and the desserts were equally wonderful. Reasonable pricing made the entire experience unforgettable. This is a "must stop to eat" place to put on your bucket list. If you find yourself in MT and no where near Ennis, take a detour. You deserve to treat yourself to some of the best food in the world.

You know you're in the right place when the ranchers come in, help themselves to a cup of coffee, rotate through a couple of tables with ranchers and get on back to work. Stopped for breakfast- yes at 6AM- and they were open and ready for business. Fast, friendly service- good food- reasonable prices! Just can't ask for more! Located in the drug store so any quick shopping can be taken care of fast. Local business that gets good year round support that is well deserved!

This was a nice place to eat breakfast. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We had to have breakfast by 8AM and this was one of only a few places in town that was open. Our family tried the Breakfast in a Box, Boo Boo Bread, and a huge pecan roll. All of it was really good.

Hang out in Ennis long enough and you will quickly see that the Gravel Bar and Restaurant is one of the best places in town for a cold beer and meal. Many of the locals come here for food and drinks. Its one of the few patios in Ennis to dine on and for sure one of the few on main street. Service was great and food was delicious. Many beers to chose from. On tap and in the bottle. Moscow mules are served in a real copper cup and were made the way you expect in Montana. Plenty of indoor dining too.

Had breakfast here twice, and lunch once, during my week of fly fishing. Busy place at times, yet a friendly "home town feel" with generous portions and friendly service. I felt that the breakfast fare was a bit better than that at lunch. Treat yourself to an order of their "Indian Fry Bread" at breakfast...fulfilling flavorful splurge. Yummm!

Food and fun Casual dining with nightly specials. locally owned and operated family friendly restaurant with a wide ranging menu spanning from specialized pizza, to featured dinners of fish, pork and steak entrées served with fresh vegetables and locally
The atmosphere is pretty good given that it is attached to a bowling alley. The food was good but not great. My meat was slightly overcooked so that decreased my satisfaction overall. Dessert was average as well. Not great but not bad. Average. Iâm sorry that you didnât have a 5 Star experience....thatâs what we strive for! Please come back and let me treat you to a shrimp cargo!
