A loaf of Erie Bread Company Parmesan sourdough bread does not often last more than two days in our house (and there are only two of us). It's that good! The bread is full of large chunks of cheese that are especially delicious when toasted!
My husband and I love to grab sandwiches at Erie Bread Company and then take them to a local park for a picnic (there's not dining seating at Erie Bread). Our favorites including The Shroomer and the Caprese sandwich. The Roasted Vegetable Salad is great too. It's the perfect place for two vegetarians but my Mom (a carnivore) loves EBC too and requests it whenever she comes into town to visit.

My wife and I stop in here for our coffee dates. The coffee is excellent and the baristas are friendly. Definitely the best coffee shop for miles around. My only complaint would be the lack of seating but I have yet to see anyone wait for a seat. Wifi is also free if you need to get some work done while enjoying a tasty beverage!

These are the donuts like my dad used to take me for when I was a kid. Awesome bakery donuts! Nothing better than these!!!
Their cakes are delicious, too. But my son and I go for donuts most Sundays and can't wait for the next week!

Bought several dozen paczki for fat Tuesday and everyone raved, said they are on par with Hamtramck! We've also sampled their gourmet cupcakes, the ho-ho ones are fantastic!!

The Custard is always excellent, the place is well kept up and clean, the staff friendly and pleasant. I frequent this place all summer long even when I didn't live in Monroe

Half Restaurant. Half Store. All Country
Came here for lunch on a Sunday. They said 25 minute wait. We waited 15 minutes max. Just enough time to walk around the store - so much fun and we sat down on the big rocking chairs for a few minutes. Wanted to play a game of checkers.. .will have to go back for that. Jackie, our server was FANTASTIC. Loved her energy from the moment we sat down. She knew the menu inside and out. The homemade beef soup was AMAZING. Both our meals came out hot and in a timely manner. Price was right. Will definitely go back again when in the area!

Took the whole family here in mid-August for dinner and drinks. Where to begin?
-Father-in-law ordered the 'perch'; filets were hopelessly thin and there was more grease and batter on the bones than fish; fries were equally greasy
-Son order the 'smothered choice sirloin'; this was far from 'choice', and after one bite it became clear why they had to 'smother' this in onions and cheese sauce, it was likely the worst cut of meat we've ever been served.
-I ordered the 'special' sea scallops; this was worse than bad, the first two I tried were under-done, the 3rd one was downright spoiled and tasted like ammonia; needless to say the whole plate went unfinished. When asked by the waitress 'how were they', I had to tell her they were terrible. Her response? "Yeah, I thought they smelled a little fishy when I brought them out"....
-I thought I'd be safe ordering a bottled beer; when I made the mistake of asking for a glass, I was brought the typical 'frosted' style pint glass. After pouring the beer into the glass, it was clear that there was an overwhelming taste and stench of bleach, most likely their lame attempt to keep their glassware sanitary.
-Brother and sister-in-law ordered the salads; as far as I could tell they had no complaints
Summary: I noted a few people around us that made what was likely the best choice for this place: they ordered bar food, namely the burgers. Maybe they had a better experience. All I can say is if you have to go this place, play it safe, drink your beer straight from the bottle, and order yourself a big burger (well done if you can...), and stay away from the other menu items...

We had a great lunch here and brought home enough for another meal. We chose the Gyro Bowl which has rice, gyro meat, and lots more. It was a stunning value at $6 each and there were other choices for the same price. It was...MoreHi there! Our rice bowls are one of my personal favorites, so I am glad that you enjoyed them just as much as I do! Thank you for your kind review and especially for mentioning our staff.
