Our friends took us to this restaurant, their favorite in Monopoli, and we loved it! It is owned by two friends who have put their hearts and souls into creating an intimate dining experience featuring amazing seafood dishes. We began with a platter of all the starters. Yes, all! The freshness of each item, the flavors and the beautiful presentation set the stage for a great evening. We all had seafood main courses, skipping the pasta primi only because we filled up on starters. The fish dishes were creative and wonderful.
Service and ambiance, plus the outstanding fresh seafood ensures you will have a wonderful evening. Oh, and make Reservations.

From the moment we parked the car we had high expectations and weren't disappointed. The small Gardens were neatly trimmed with everything in it's place and the restaurant was clean and neatly presented. This was the forerunner of what was to come.
Good attentive service with excellent food which was a pleasant interpretation of the local fare being mainly seafood. We opted for the degustazione which was superb but far too much for one so would recommend perhaps sharing. Definitely worth a visit.

Stumbled upon this rather small trattoria just off Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the Centro Storico.
Friendly welcome by helpfull owner. Very fresh and healthy (mainly) fishrestaurant.
The risotto marina and the caveletti fruti di mare were just excellent.
Good vino bianco (housewine) too. 1 starter + 2 primi + 1 beer + 1/4 L bianco + 1 capuchino = 35 euro. That's what I call value for money.

In the green heart of Monopoli hills, in Contrada Antonelli, the butcher-braceria "OLD STORIES" offers its clients quality of fresh meat from slaughter SELECTED FARMS, tradition, courtesy and genuine flavors. The formula is simple: you choose the meat, you weigh, and you sit at the table in the elegant and comfortable lounges, where you can enjoy a few pleasant minutes accompanied by cold cuts and cheeses and sott'olii traditional Puglia. Among our products: paw, bowlers, kebabs, lamb rolls (gnumeridde), kebabs, saltimbocca, sausage knife tip, boar of Noci and many other tasty specialties. Also of prime meats CHIANINA, Podolica, Argentina and Australia, for the most discerning palates. The butcher has all the most innovative hygiene solutions and operates in complete fulfillment of the current regulations HACCP. La Braceria AND 'OPEN WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY IN WINTER. IN SUMMER JULY AND AUGUST EVERY DAY.
We like the braceria format which seems local to this area whereby a butcher becomes a restaurateur in the evening.
The food was good and the lady who ran the place was very friendly and tolerant of our poor Italian skills.
Everything was perfectly cooked and excellent value (less than €20 per head for 3 courses plus drinks) and if they had provided more choice with the meats they may have got a fifth "star"

We booked this restaurant well ahead of time and were disappointed when they wrote a week before we were due to eat here to say that they would be closed. I explained that this was fine but we couldn't visit another day as we were moving on. To my amazement they wrote back honouring our reservation.
To be honest I felt bad that the hard working team would be deprived of a day off, but needn't have worried as the service, including them saving the best table on the Terrace for us, the food and setting were fantastic.
All in all a very kind front of house team and a talented chef in the kitchen, and we'd love to return.
We have been lucky enough to eat in many good restaurants during our tour through Italy, but none are more deserving of all round top marks than Piazza Palmieri.

Our hotel suggested this Masseria for a Pugliese dinner under the stars. And when we sat down, it was indeed quite lovely with the gentle summer breeze and the perfect temperature. The grounds are rustic and authentic, with an inviting aroma of flowers and herbs.
The food, when it arrived, was good (not great, but good). Though there seemed to be a large wait staff, somehow each course took very very long to arrive. We like a relaxed meal but this was too long and drawn out.
When we are next in Puglia, I'd like to give it another try, maybe for lunch.

From here you can find many wonderful sandwiches, snacks and hot bistrot dishes, a fantastic selection of spinach beers and various glasses.
We have been there to eat a couple of times. The service is great everybody with a smile and super friendy. The food is exceptionally taste, pannini and hamburger the best in Monopoli.About thr prices is reasonable for the high quality of service and food. If you visit the place dont miss the opportunity to ask from Francesco, the owner with sommelier studies, to suggest you to try the wine and the beers.

Nice staff, great hamburgers. The veggie version was truly so good! Very fresh and tasty. And cheap! No wine for sale here though (and no toilet), but that's just a 'minor' detail. We enjoyed our burgers and fries (also very very good) on the tiny Terrace.

This is a sea food restaurant on the edge of the Old Town of Monopoli (just near the beach) and with a sea view. if you sit on the trerrace upstairs. The sea food was fresh and the menu interesting although limited. Service was fine and overall a good experience. The fried sea food mix was good as was the pasta with prawns.
