The food coming out of the kitchen all looked so good and we couldnât decide what to order so we just asked to have whatever it was the table next to us was having. Great decision as they had ordered really well. Every dish was full of flavour and well prepared, unfortunately because of how we ordered I am not sure what those dishes were. The Elephant Corridor has a fantastic and reasonably priced wine list, you canât go past any of the Lakebreeze wines for quality. Service was friendly and efficient

Seven of us had dinner in this Sri Lanka Restaurant in Melbourne suburb last week. We ordered different varieties of traditional Sri Lankan food. Hoppers, Roti, kottu rotti, fish curry and goat curry. All the dishes were delicious and authentic. Portions were large, enough for 2 persons. We can definitely recommend this restaurant if you like Sri Lankan authentic food.

I am rarely moved to review a small cafe that is in any case well patronised, but I came across a totally idiotic and ill-informed review of Kites which bagged its flagship Hopper. So here goes.Atmosphere/ambience - OK, slightly reminiscent of a Colombo "kadé" (google it!)Service - Superb, attentive, fast, nothing's a problemFood - we ate hoppers - amongst the best in MelbournePrice - towards the lower end of the Melbourne price rangeIt was a great meeting-place for a table of about 12 noisy friends. So where's the missing star gone?No alcohol served and no BYO, pity, a beer would have washed down those hot curries beautifully.

Complimentary papadams and dips were delivered with our choice of wine. Bombay mushrooms and chicken 65 were our entree choices. The chicken was full of flavour but sadly the meat stuffed mushrooms were quite bland. We used the papadam sauces to spice the mushrooms up. I chose the black pork curry as my main. The black pepper flavour was good but the dish was delivered to the table warm rather than hot and so were the other meal selections. The pork pieces varied from melt in your mouth to tough. The Kissing Booth Sauv Blanc was good. A bit too hit and miss for our liking.
