Enter Neighbour is a humble looking cosy local cafe tucked in the heart of Hartwell and close to the hustle & bustle Burke Road, Camberwell. The cafe is easily reachable if you want to come either using public transport or private vehicle; it's just a door step away to catch public transport (route 75 tram) and plenty of on the street car parks available. We're glad to be invited by Jack (owner) to have the food experience.Worth to mention that Enter Neighbour supports and heavily involved in local community Foodbank Victoria helping to provide meals for 1 in 7 Victorianswho cannot afford food, more than quarter of whom are children. They also donate 30c per coffee for those who use a keep cup or similar re-usable cup to Foodbank Victoria to help them support Victorians who are food insecure. It's absolutely a good gesture and respectful activity showing by this local cafe; The owner has a big heart for the local community. The cafe has indoor and outdoor (the courtyard) sections, you can also opt for the more intimate and quiet section for the indoor (middle) seating. We opted for the front indoor seating. On Saturday, they also have a live music started around 5.30 PM (Saturday: 8am â 3pm, 5:30pm â 11pm). So you could still come and enjoy their food bit longer on Saturday. As we approached the cafe, we're welcomed by the friendly floor staff. The customer service was nice and friendly serving with lots of smiles which would make your day better :)The vibe and atmosphere were cosy and comfortable. We started off our food experience by having cappuccino and beetroot latte.Enter Neighbour chooses Axil Coffee Roasters and you know how the good coffee and reputation of this coffee bean!In fact, as expected that the taste of cappuccino was fantastic! It was served warm and the taste was balance!Beetroot Latte was surprisingly really nice, it had good fragrance and hint of turmeric. This beetroot latte was one of the best, we've ever tried! We ordered:- Truffle Mushrooms*Glazed Button Mushrooms + Spinach + House-Made Ricotta and Truffle oil, served with Poached Egg on Toast.Truffle Mushrooms had nice presentation with generous serving of Button Mushrooms. The poached egg was perfectly cooked! The Spinach was well cooked and seasoned; The nice fresh green colour surely increased your appetite.Every single component was perfectly executed; It's a simple dish, yet served nicely by the Enter Neighbour's team. From our point of view, it would be better to have more truffle oil in the this dish as we hardly smell the truffle oil.- Nanban Chicken*Forbidden Black Rice + Gribiche Dressing + Pea's + Pickled Cabbage + Japanese Chicken topped with Crispy Shallots + Fresh Chilli + Coriander. The Nanban Chicken was nicely presented, it had great textures. The chicken was well cooked, it was soft and tender. It's a lovely Asian Fusion dish delivered! The overall taste was very rich. The aioli dipping helped us to tone down the strong taste from the marinated chicken itself.- Scotch Pancake*Neighbour's Secret Coffee Marcarpone with Caramelised Banana + Fresh Strawberries, topped with Chocolate Sauce and Coffee Soil. There's always a space for a dessert, no exception. We're finishing off our foodie journey with the Scotch Pancake. The dish was generously served with the simple and clean presentation.Though the Pancakes were slightly thick, they were fluffy and perfectly cooked inside-out.The pancakes weren't too sweet to balance out the natural sweetness coming from the fresh fruits.Fresh sliced strawberries and partial caramelised banana served on the side; The caramelised banana was absolutely fantastic, it had the right crisp and sweetness. The marcarpone coffee gave you a hint and nice coffee flavour to enrich the overall taste of the dish.Loved this Scotch Pancake and it's definitely recommended!Overall, we had a great time to meet the Enter Neighbour's team, owner (Jack) and had great food.Note: Weâd like to say thank you to Enter Neighbourâs team for having us.Disclaimer: Honest opinions expressed here are purely on our own and are based on our experience at that timeTaste: 4.0Service: 4.5Speed: 4.5Yay: Beetroot Latte, Cappuccino, Truffle Mushrooms, Scotch PancakeNay: N/A
