El Rancho de Manolo

Good but very basic

Reviewed By tash440

If you are looking for facilities and comforts you will not find in this town. This us a small basic place run by a very nice and helpful person. The room was clean. Comfortable bed with clean sheets and towels. The toilet was small. But had hot water. The flush wasn't working properly but with some adjustments it functioned. The greatest plus is they also have a restaurant with yummy food. We had pizza with ham and tomatoes which was delicious. The empanada were very tasty. They were fried instead of baked. Both the meat and the cheese were good. Best breakfast in the whole of argentina. We got ham cheese and eggs!!! The person running the place was very helpful. The room had heating only for the night. We could park in the yard. This is the best place to stay we found in this small town of molinos So highly recommended.

Hacienda de Molinos

Hacienda Molinos is a mandatory stop on any tour round the Calchaquí Valleys. This traditional hacienda, which dates back to the 18th century and was home to the last governor of Salta appointed by the King of Spain, has been refurbished to provide you with all comfort expected from a 21st century hotel, while preserving the essence and typical features of colonial times.

Unforgettable

This is the gem of Valles Calchaquíes. Magnificent property located within Colomé winery, built in a contemporary colonial style, offers evey single taste of calchaquí culture, norteño design and vineyard life. Outstanding rooms: perfect bedding, great bathroom, lovely terrace, tastefull decoration. The common areas are beautiful, with the highlight of the central patio and its fountain. The library and bar are delightful and the restaurant is wonderful. Gourmet experience was top notch every night, with a different 3 course meals offer with local produce and delicious options. Colomé wines are indeed the perfect match for every menu there. Special mention for the al fresco areas, gardens, yards and pool (one of the best swimmingpools, the only drawback is that it's not tempered). The visit of the winery and James Turrell museum are highlights durign the stay, as well as strolling across the vineyards. Staff is very attentive and friendly. This place represents the best accommodation that you may find in Valles Calchaquíes. An experience not to be miss.

A let down

Reviewed By SammyPlum

I had a rather strange stay here. The host was pleasant enough but there were a few things that heavily let the place down. Firstly, I had no bed linen!! I had to use the bedspread and a dusty blanket. I mentioned it to the host the next morning and she still didn't remedy it for the second night. I was not offered breakfast on either morning although I saw another couple eat breakfast. The shower was terrible. No hot water except a dribble out of a low bath tap. I had to squat under it to splash water over me. Use of the kitchen was great. A lovely pet dog kept me company and the view out to the courtyard garden is nice. These things are not enough for me to recommend to others however. I would go elsewhere.

Posada El Abuelo

A simple and charming accomodation

Reviewed By David P

This is a very simple hostel with only 4 rooms and two shared bath. But it is located in a charming town and is managed by a very welcoming hostess. The rooms and bath are very clean and the hostess is working on improving the location. The beds were of excellent quality and we slept well. We were served an excellent breakfast in the morning.

Elemental

Reviewed By monicaloray
