The ambience is Moldovian with food wine and handicrafts and the two ladies running around taking orders and serving the guests .Food was good but service was bad .They are understaffed and over worked with all group tours heading to this spot making the owners heady .We had to wait for 15 minutes despite seeking every ferw minutes our bill to pay .Even while we were waiting we saw a guy from a group giving up on waiting cutting and taking bread and helping himself he just couldn't resist waiting any more !

A unique place situated in the heart of the country of Moldova. The touristic area is surrouneded by monck caves, green hills and historical natural museum. The restaurant serves traditional moldovian food, prepared by native chefs.
i have been surprised by my boyfriend who drove me to the resturant to celebrate women's day. I was impressed by the view, restaurant style and food. Talking openly, it was my best placinte ever! The hostes was very nice, and the waiter was very carefully to us.That evening we have tried grilled vegetables, placinte and french chicken. My b/f appreciated the french chicken and said so far, it is his fave meal. Highly recommend the place for those who understant what good cuisine is.
Safary is a well known restaurant, on the highway , a few kilometers south of the town of Orhei, about 37-38 km north of the capital city, Kishinau, in a charming wooden enviroment vis a vi with the concurents - "The two Haiduci".Thete is a story about the parking lot of the place, acording to wich, the cars move alone , in neutral geare, upward . The story failed to be confirmed by us in two ocassions, with 2 diferent cars, so either the U Tube presented experience was false, either the land loosed it's " magnetic power "/ polarity ((-: .Any way the place is simply nice looking, well designed . Tables are placed , privately, in separate small baraques/ safari - stile houses. There is a main building wirh the reception and 2 dinning halls, one large and another smaller. Their walls are ornamented with a lot of souveniers brought mostly by the owners, from all over the world, stuffed animals and birds, wilde animal hads and horns and many many other special and interresting objects. It is a rare and special exhibition , wich lives a very strong impression up on the visitor. The main hall serves, mostly, as a wedding hall. The entrance is constitued of an stone builte arcade , with two lyons - stone made sculptures - guarding. The front yard is a well fixed and nice garden. All the place is enlighted by night with colourfull electric balls and small coloured led wires. In the back yard, there is also a well mennaged play ground to keep the children bussy.I liked very much the exterior and the interior as well.Coming to the gastronomic side, the results were not uniform. Those who orderd porc stew with mamaliga - the local and the traditional vertion of polenta here and in Romania - served with sour cream and with somr red souce , made of tomatoes, red pepers and some other vegetables, served separetly in a small bowl, were delighted. Those who took pork skewer and country style baked potatoes, were mostly satisfied. To my own oppinion, the meat had been too dry, even for pork.I ate the traditional local vertion of romanian kebab or sausage, made of minced meat and a lot of spices, soft and juicy, hamburger style, but in a sausage shape, griled on embers. It was tasty but cold, as well as all the dishes we got.The griled porc sausages, wich i tried too, were dry and hard. I didn' t like them at all.The marinated mushroom salate, we took all of us, were also a litle dissapointing, since they used, conserved mushrooms. We liked the local made limonade and the beer - " Chisinau ", where O.K. The waiters have been polite, but uneffcient: the one who served us, forgot a few things, gave us dishe we didn'task for and did not bring the one we did, until it was too late for us and anyway it was already sold out.The baraques had no eye conection with the central building/ ordering point or the kitchen, so we couldnt call anybody, unless we looked after them personally .At the office the lady told us, that it was a v. bussy day, so the waiters have been worked in stress. The true, that i was no impressed of any crowd there. It seemed to me that it was a quiet evening , but may be i got the wrong impression. In conclution, we spend a pleasant evening, in a nice place; had a medium level dinner unefficiently served.
