Very crowded here with what appeared to be rather hung over college students. Excellent coffee and many choices for breakfast. Some were vegetarian. Just north of Downtown so easy to find.

Ernie's Cafe' is a quaint cafe'. Not tons of table, but the atmosphere is welcoming. The service was prompt and efficient. The food was amazing. Great breakfast comfort food and the portions are hearty.

I come here for breakfast pretty often, at least weekly. There's some wear and tear on the tables, chairs, and booths and the men's room has always been disgusting and getting worse. There are always lots of people preparing food and taking orders (although I use the kiosk). I might suggest sending people out into the seating area to wipe down the furniture and run a floor sweeper.On the positive side the staff is friendly and the food is (usually) very good. The wifi works well most of the time and since there's lots of room it's ok to stay a while without feeling like you're overstaying your welcome. Parking can be difficult during the day as there are limited spots and other businesses share the parking lot.

Went here for breakfast with family. Its a quaint little restaurant, but the staff wasn't particularly helpful, gave no suggestions and not much of a greeting. The food was okay but quite bland and presentation was lacking. The avocado toast was tasteless, the Broadway bowl was lacking in quinoa, the eggs lacked flavor, and the pancakes were a bit flat and could have used more strawberries. Healthy eating doesn't need to be so bland or pricey.

My husband I happened on Gunter Hans as we were downtown in Columbia. My husband likes to try interesting beer and we love traveling in Europe, so we thought we would give it a try. It was a very interesting find. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful. I don't drink beer, but they offered a quite drinkable Chardonnay with a unique presentation. The pretzels are delicous and we hope to go back to try the liege waffles. The decor features a collection of unique beer tapper handles.
