My family and I were passing through Mountain View on our way to Branson for a wedding. We stopped by and wanted to check out this local restaurant. The waitress recommended the peanut butter burger. Yes, Peanut Butter burger. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Peanut Butter is now a condiment I will be using in the future on my burgers.

Three hundred and seventy miles of road passed under my wheels and all I wanted was some good grub and a comfortable bed. Well actually I got both. The Main Event is next to the Honeysuckle Inn and locals come for its good grub and/or a good shot or a beer. The wait staff is friendly and the menu gives you a decent pick of both sandwiches and dinner plates. I personally had breaded pork tenderloins with mashed potatoes and a side of cottage cheese. Before dinner I relaxed with a double Jack and a side car of water, which is good to enjoy when your in a place with good company. There are both smoking and non-smoking rooms and frankly there wasn't the offensive odor coming over to my side, must be good ventilation. The portions and prices were decent and the service very very good. It would be worth stopping there if your nearby.
Our family ate at Ron's several times over a weekend and every meal was great and very reasonably priced. Ron's is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday. This is true country comfort food. We also had a large catered lunch in their banquet room which had great service and fried chicken.
I love KFC. Have eaten there for years. Love the one in West Plains. So I decided to try this one. I got my order at the drive through although it took forever. When I got it home it was so greasy it would run down your arm. The grease also tasted old, like they hadn't changed it. I thought about going back but just decided to never go there again.
Country style eating with live music every Friday night and karaoke every Saturday night. A non-smoking and no alcohol environment. Serving anywhere from a burger and fries to larger dinners including T- Bones, Ribeyes, and KC Strips.
Not in business anymore. I suspect the owners overextended themselves. The have two other restaurants in the area that are great ... great food, great service.
