I wasn't expecting such a great Mexican restaurant in the middle of rural Missouri! As part of a large group who stopped in for lunch, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised with both the breadth of their menu, and the quality of the food offered. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient and managed everyone's requests with ease. I highly recommend the carnitas! Refried beans and rice are commonplace in Mexican restaurants, but even these stood out as not your run of the mill sides! The chips and salsa starters are good, too. I got to share the con queso dip and found it tasty, but a bit runny. (Didn't intend to wear some of it home on my shirt!!) Be warned...but enjoy it!!!

A large group of us went to celebrate the end of the season. It was a slow night, so you'd think they'd be happy to have us. However, the waitress was not happy, even rolling her eyes. She obviously needed help, but the manager didn't help her. It took over 30 minutes to get out chips and salsa, and drinks took forever. It was over an hour before the first plate of food came out. This isn't the first time I've been there, and the service is always similar. It might be the last time, though.
