Roxanne's has good home-style food and you can eat dinner for under $10. The clientele is older and looks like people who like home-cooked meals but want to eat out. My wife and I left here last night satiated; it was an unplanned anniversary dinner. We live in Kansas but had to pick up something in Platte City. It was my second time here, and my wife's first. We would not go out of our way to eat here, but if in Platte City this is a worthwhile, friendly, and tasty place to eat home-style meals. Guests had cleared out well before 8 pm. Don't come expecting a late-night bite to eat. Visited 14 January 2019.

Third time here. All bad experiences. First review. Came for dinner. No pricing on beer menu was my first clue that this was not going well. Staff said they could call manager with any questions. Then I got the same from the staff about the main dinner menu. I ordered a stout and was recommended a "dunkel". It was a poorly made pale ale. My appetizer was supposed to be $2 off but wasn't. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience. Overcharged and had to find another place for a decent dinner. I don't recommend this place for now.

The only thing this place has going for it is service. The place is not clean. I felt uncomfortable eating as I looked behind the counter to where the waffles are made. Food everywhere, on counters, floor and dripping from the waffle maker. Very unappealing.

Visited this Burger King for lunch on March 5th. I was the only customer in line and had to wait a couple of minutes before anyone took my order. Once my order for a Whopper with cheese, medium fries and a medium drink was taken it took about 4-5 minutes before I got my order. They had a few cars in the drive through but they weren't that busy. While waiting, I thought the restaurant was cold but maybe it was my imagination. Then I noticed that they had three space heaters (one on top of a table, and two others on the floor) operating in various places around the restaurant. Guess it wasn't my imagination after all.Got my order, unwrapped my sandwich to find it almost cold. Haven't they heard of a microwave? I hate fast food restaurants that serve food cold or barely warm. If I have to wait 4-5 minutes, I can wait another minute for them to heat my sandwich. I won't be returning to this Burger King again and don't recommend it to others.
