Joplin is the main hub of the three-county Joplin-Miami, Oklahoma metropolitan area.

It doesn't look like much from the outside. And the inside looks like an older drive in. But the food is not standard drive in food. The fried mushrooms appetizer-the best I've had. My wife had the salmon sandwich on sourdough bread with bacon, and grilled asparagus. I had the bison burger and fries. This place was a great find. Great service-the waitress was very helpful deciding what to order. Not the cheapest place in the world. Around $40 for the two of us, not including the tip. But worth every penny. Glad we found this on TripAdvisor.

We found Club 1201 to be a unique dining experience. The have a relatively limited menu of dinner entrees but everyone found some thing they liked. The large selection of salads and sandwiches made up for the limited entree menu. The food was all presented nicely and all tasted good. The truffle fries are very good. In spite of the delicious we believed the prices were a little bit higher than comparable establishments.

After reading on the website that they offered keto options I was anxious to try it. I finally settled on one item on the menu that wasn't loaded with sugar if I ate it on lettuce and there were no sides available that I could eat. Our meals were served on paper and there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table. And no wait staff. I wouldn't call this classyThanks for trying Bookhouse. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your experience. I sent you a message so that you could let me know it there was another issue to cause such low marks other than the dietary restrictions and that we are a casual pub with counter service. We are still a new business and we strive to maintain high standards for quality and communication. We may not be your kind of place, but we still value your feedback. We have recently added new options to our menu which is always updated and posted on our website. If you happen to try us again, we'd love to know what you think of the additions.
