For an appetizer, we got the queso dip with flour tortilla chips - the other option was the standard corn - and they were delicious! Served warm, they had a better taste and texture than corn chips. Service was good. Could have used a little more sauce on the BBQ port sandwich, and the young one with us found the chicken fingers on the kids meal inedible, but she really liked the fries. An enjoyable lunch.

I cannot say a bad thing about this place. All you have to do is just come here and check it out for yourself. Donât forget to come on Friday or Saturday for prime rib, flat out outstanding.Wednesdays is a nice night also. Ribeye or Kansas City strip with three shrimp for $20. Are you kidding me?Wonderful owners and awesome wait staff. If you have any amount of time here in Saint Joe, and donât come here, you just made a huge mistake.

Great pub with friendly staff. The Reuben was fantastic ( one of the best I've had) as was the Grilled Cheese. Fresh house chips are great. Original 1878 building in the bar area. The kitchen and outdoor deck had to be replaced after a fire a couple years ago we learned. Highly recommend this place and our visit has made our trip to Saint Joseph even better. We will return before the weekend is over!

We visited this establishment many times in the last 10 years and decided to go again last Saturday around 1 pm. We ordered a variety of lunch items, including fajitas, burgers, and salads. All of the food items tasted good and were reasonably priced. Although our waiter was very pleasant and efficient, it took a very long time for the food to be delivered. The main drawback to this restaurant is the somewhat impersonal and empty feel of the large interior.

Arrived through the bar side and was told it was open seating. If we wanted hostess seating to go to the other side. We were happy to be in the casual side. Highlights: the food is varied. There are so many options it was difficult to decide. One person in our party is keto eating and the meal (fish tacos) was accommodated to her eating needs. She got an additional side too. I had the balsamic chicken it was simply amazing. We both had the lighter portions since we started with wings. We split an order (8 wings) half buffalo and half honey siracha sauce. Spicy and crisp just the way a wing should be. Noticed lots of locals eating here. Highly enjoyed. Price is right! (Also happy hour all day on Sunday)
Stopped in for a couple late-ish evening drinks. Loved playing the pinball table in back. The place could be a bit cleaner, though maybe that's just what its' personality is and will be. Place got pretty jam-packed after some other places in town closed that night.

This is a long time establishment in St Joseph, Mo. It still has the old original look and feel from yesteryear! Good food at very reasonable prices. Friendly service! Nothing fancy about this place but it has been around for many generations. A part of St Joseph history for sure! Live music on the weekend with many local performers.

54th Street was founded in Kansas City, MO by Thomas E. Norsworthy in 1989. He envisioned a place that would accommodate a consistently crowded dining room as well as a lively bar crowd, while offering the quality food and drinks that exceed national chai
Recently met my wife here for evening meal. It was busy but the staff was doing a great job of getting drink orders, taking food orders and delivering items ordered. Since the servings are generally quite generous, we shared the Southwest Wrap. It came as ordered and had just the right amount of flavor and the shared order was plenty for the two of us. The order even came already divided on separate plates--something that some places do not take the time to do. We enjoyed our evening.

Their tenderloin is popular for a reason. I got it without cheese because I don't think cheese belongs on a tenderloin. I ate it with mayo and pickles. It was great! And, the homemade chips were fabulous with "Greek" seasoning. Get the seasoning because it makes the chips even better. I couldn't stop eating those chips! The Mexican platter was good but not great. The beef was rather bland. The puffy fried flour tortilla was good, I just wish the beef had more seasoning. We had super friendly service and the waitress made good suggestions. Can't wait to go back.

A small, family-owned group of restaurants, hand-crafting food since 1995. We feature wood-fire grilled steaks cooked over full-size logs of oak and ash, award-winning BBQ slow-smoked on premise, homemade desserts and much more.
Food was mediocre at best and the server did everything she could to not serve us the entire visit. Additionally we asked for an accommodation to one of the meals told us they would and it was clear from the look and taste of the food they did not. Would not recommend.
