County Road Ice House is in a block full of restaurants and bars in KCâs Power & Light District. We ate dinner there on a night when there was a concert at the neighboring Sprint Center. It was busy and noisy until just before the concert started, when it seemed like everybody got up and left. So we were able to continue our meal in relative peace and quiet! Husband got ribs and one meat (brisket, but somewhat too lean) with toast and pickles and Mexican corn, and I got the house salad, which was quite good. The barbecue is from Joeâs in Kansas City, Kansas, and was very tasty.

Savor innovative cuisine and sophisticated surroundings at Reserve Restaurant and Lounge. Reserve is a vibrant downtown dining gem, with a warm setting distinguished by a chic decor, elegant marble walls and lofty 20-foot ceilings. For gourmet breakfasts,
Our meal was delicious. I had the chef's shrimp special over rice. My husband had the filet. Both were excellent. The service was great. We were a little concerned at first because almost no one else was there, bu more people came and the atmosphere became vibrant.

Grinders has tons of pizza options and you can make your own. They have other food too (wings, etc.)! It's got a different feel to it, there's graffiti all over the walls and some of the chairs are refurbished airplane seats. It's a great lunch/dinner spot.

BRGR KITCHEN + BAR brings a fresh adaption of the most classic restaurant concept around to the Kansas City area. The burger was born and bred in America as a convenient way to eat on the go, but it's grown up a bit, and has become our country's favorite
Before visiting this place, I had a look at their menu online and really looked forward to eating their vegetarian quinoa burger. When I got there, however, they had an updated menu, and I was disappointed to discover that the quinoa burger was replaced with Beyond Burger. There was nothing wrong with Beyond Burger, but since I donât like meat I usually prefer non-meat substitute type of burgers. I have no idea why I ordered sweet potato fries since I usually become full by just eating a burger but at least they were tasty and not really soggy. The non-alcoholic ginger beer was also good. One of the best things, however, was the waiter; he was awesome, while serving me as well as other customers. Iâd definitely go back here.

Ate here with family for lunch and the meal was hardly memorable except for the averageness. Server amazingly took all five of our orders with nary a pen or paper, but that was where above-average ended. Huge place made me think that it is probably packed during sports events. At lunchtime it was fairly sparse in terms of diners but there were a lot of servers and they were somewhat attentive. Food was no better than average and in my case below par. I had sliders that were so unappealing that I was surprised that they served them. I did have a salad which was ok, but the rest of the food was so-so. You could find a worse place to have lunch, but you wonât be looking forward to coming here.

A unique Kansas City experience, BB's Lawnside BBQ has been the place where BBQ Meets the Blues for more than 20 years.
A party of 6 of us were there Friday night. Great service, decent food. Burnt ends were good, coleslaw was bad. Drinks were good. Very affordable. Band was great! We'll be back.

THE HOUSE OF MEAT For a century, Kansas City has perfected its version of "low and slow" and we pay homage to the many great pit masters who have gone before us. Charring, smoking and grilling with wood have been an age-old universal method for both suste
I live in the land of BBQ and I will provide the caveat that I don't eat mammals, so pork and beef are not consumed by me. The wonderful thing about this particular bbq joint is that they have tons of poultry and even vegetarian options as well as the more standard fare. My husband and son have both had their other meats and enjoyed them a lot too.My company had a holiday party here and one of the items was their jackfruit, it was pretty amazing. Their appetizers are great too. All their meat-free items have a silly skull and cross-bones symbol next to them, which makes me laugh a bit every time we go. I enjoy the cheesy hushpuppies and their cornbread is really good. For meats they offer burnt ends, crispy pork belly, pulled pork butt, hand-cranked sausage, turkey breast, smoked pit ham, black angus brisket and smoked vegan jackfruit (which admittedly isn't a meat). They have sandwiches and meat trays. Their sides are really good too, they have beans, potato salad, cabbage slaw, kale-pecorino slaw, bacon-broccoli slaw, fries, mac & cheese, and more. They have a great outdoors area in their beer garden with a bar, and fun games, like croquet, and cornhole. Dinner is open till 10 or 11 each day, but the bar is open later, till midnight on Sunday - Wednesday and till 1:30 am on Thursday - Saturday.I highly recommend this place, every time we've eaten here has been amazing.

Gram & Dun brings culinarily-driven fare, while paying special attention to pairing food with libations. It's a place "for the people" where we can relax and enjoy the neighborhood vibe while we test theories of food, drink and the evolution of good times
A colleague of mine suggested I visit Gram & Dun while in KC for a business trip because it was a good restaurant with a really nice patio. I can only say I agree. Unfortunately I canât say anything about the food because I didnât have any since I had already eaten, but I really wanted to visit so I went there for dessert. I had the Gram & Dun bar which was just absolutely delicious. Also it was very warm so I sat inside but the staff was kind and let me sit by the windows so I could at least look out at the cosy patio. Iâd love to go back for a meal one day, but for now I can definitely recommend this place for dessert.

If your heart races at the smell of a malty-sweet & robust Imperial Brown Ale and as we slide under your nose, our juicy 100% American beer burger stuffed with Kansas City-style burnt ends, lathered with house-made BBQ sauce, giant tears of joy begin to f
We each ordered burgers medium rare. They were perfectly prepared. The burgers are prepared using a custom blend of beef brisket, short ribs, and chuck tenderloin. This mixture assures a juicy, tasty burger. There were enough beer choices for every palate. We really enjoyed our dinner.Note: We ate relatively early and were seated immediately. By the time we finished our meal, every seat in the restaurant was taken! This is a testament to the quality and popularity of the establishment.
