Our guides Makayla and Crystal were outstanding and very patient with my husband and myself. We aren't real limber, so mounting and dismounting a horse was quite the task at first. We are both in our late 50's, yet Makayla and Crystal treated us as if we were in our 20's!!! Thank You ladies!!! If and when we ride again, hopefully we will have you as our guides. Inside the gift shop and Restaurant the staff were very helpful and super friendly. Thank You ROCKBRIDGE!!!!! Cordially, Suzanne Johnson.

CAdy Winterset Cottage Carriage House B&B, located on Historic Hermann Hollyhock Alley, accommodates 2-3 persons. Separate from the owner's private home, the Cottage presents an escape from the real world. Owner Christine CAdy strives to create "life as it should be." Dessert each night and a sumptuous "Break-the-Fast" each morning tempt guests to linger longer in the seclusion tucked away from the madding crowd. Attention to detail and carefully orchestrated tailoring personalize your interlude when you stay in Christine's English Carriage House B&B. CAdy Cottage offers a unique gift certificate policy--a give-NOW and pay-Later" option when the recipient reserves time in the cottage.
This early American/English cottage will remind Harry Potter fans of The Burrow; and the host, Gretchen, of Molly Weasley. Such a beautiful, quaint, and clean place conveniently located near all the shops and restaurants. There is no TV here, which only adds to the theme and charm. The cottage is stocked with some board games and lots of reading material though and does come with wifi. The breakfasts are BIG and delicious; you will not need lunch! There were special desserts each night as well. We were well stocked with tea, coffee, and water and all the accoutrements. The cottage also has artwork and antique pieces lining the walls that were made and acquired by the wonderful lady who originally started the B&B. Gretchen, her daughter, is amazing and communicative and attended to our every need to make the weekend as special as could be. The price was unbelieveable considering everything that is included; I kept thinking we must be getting away with some sort of special deal.

We are in the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Our cabins are nestled among plenty of beautiful shade trees just 150 yards north of the Jacks Fork River on Scenic Highway 19.Our cabins are great for large or small groups, family reunions, etc. We also offer picnic tables, BBQ grills, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes for outside evenings, swing sets for children and pits for outside campfires. We also have free coffee in the morning.
Donna at the front desk was amazing- very helpful, friendly and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Cabin was large, clean, beds were new and comfortable. Cabins were all in set back in the trees with plenty of shade, outdoor grill and fire pit. Playground for the kids was really neat. Many places to eat and stores within walking distance, Cabins do not have microwaves or coffee pots, though coffee is available for free at the front desk. Keep in mind that the place does not have river access but there are many places to swim on the river with in a very short drive. We found the place quiet and relaxing, especially enjoyed sitting under stars by the fire.

The rooms are always clean and maintained, along with just about any extras you may need. I'm a fisherman and appreciate the fact that my boat slip is close to my condo. My grandkids join me and we have a blast. The free room after a 4 day stay in May is also a plus. Bill L.

Our family of 14 has been coming to Dogwood Acres every summer for about 10 years now. We love returning here. It is a quaint, family owned resort that has everything a family could desire while on vacation. We always bring our boat, but they have boats to rent also. They have boat dock slips to rent for a nominal fee. We rented two paddle boats for two hours and had a ball. There’s plenty of room in the front yard/driveway to play outdoor games, which we bring every year, such as beanbag toss and ladder ball. The cabins come fully furnished, with kitchen utensils, plates, pots and pans etc. just bring your own towels. Lee and Jenny are the sweetest couple, very accommodating and helpful with any requests. If you’re lucky, you’ll even get to meet Lee’s father, who lives on the property and hear some of his life stories. All in all, this place is very relaxing, quiet, and family-friendly.

We stayed here before so we sort of knew what to expect. The condo was clean and had everywhere needed. We were in The Eagles Nest. The bathroom was a little dated and the edges of the shower needed deep cleaning. The queen and king beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were horrible. They were as flat as pancakes! There was no dishwasher. We did enjoy the view and the variety of birds. We also appreciated the recliners.

Crystal Creek Ranch consists of over 1,000 acres of wooded hills, open valleys, 2 miles of spring fed creeks and a 3 acre lake. Nestled in this ranch are seven unique lodging adventures. These include a Tree Retreat, Sheepherders Wagon, Russ Noah Log Cabin, Lakeside Log Cabin, Old Red Barn, Cabin Ridge House and Overlook Ranch House. The ranch is located 4 miles from Eminence, 2 miles from Alley Spring and 1 mile from the Jacks Fork River. Staying at the ranch includes the choice of many activities including paddle boating, catch and release fishing, pedal carts, 6 miles of walking trails, small farm animal interaction, creeks to explore, family friendly games both inside the rec center and outside.
We stayed in the Cabin Ridge house in August 2021. The views, outdoor fire pit, kids play area, animals, and quiet privacy were fantastic. The eighties decor didn’t matter to us, but the old, smelly, disgusting carpeting throughout the house needs to be replaced with hard surface flooring. This is a diamond in the rough.

A few years ago (2011), we went there for a week: me, my wife and our two daughters. What a wonderful experience! C and his wife Sonny, with all their family welcome us as friends. No joke! We were looking for a guest ranch with not many guests, ans we were not disapointed. We had reserved the small cottage, but we finaly get the large one, because we were the only guests! My daughters had a lot of fun with their grandsons. The food was great, the evening discussions by the fire, iced tea, the grandmother's jalapenos. Horse riding every morning, afternoon and even evenings! Kayaking down the river was a must, because of the 120'F we hit all the week. We had so much fun, we did not take our car for the entire week. I strongly recommand this place!

This lovely farm is so tranquil and relaxing. It's beautiful and peaceful and a place to return to a simpler life. The lake is perfect for swimming or paddle boarding or other water sports. The cabins are comfortable and quiet. The hike around the lake was so pretty with wild flowers. The shared space with the dock and communal kitchen was perfect for a potluck dinner. Sue and Bob are gracious and generous hosts. We are so happy we found this special place.

This place is absolutely amazing. The cabin is cozy and clean with just enough creature comforts. I adored being able to look out over the fields from the front porch. If you have the time do yourself a solid and go for a trail ride. The area is stunning and Carol leads an amazing trail ride through the woods. Her gaited horses are a joy to ride. I enjoyed being on a trail ride that was much more than a nose-to-tail ride.
