Columbus is a city in and the county seat of Lowndes County, Mississippi, United States, located primarily east, but also north and northeast of the Tombigbee River, which is also referred to as the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway [3]. It is approximately 146 miles (235 km) northeast of Jackson, 92 miles (148 km) north of Meridian, 63 miles (101 km) south of Tupelo, 60 miles (97 km) northwest of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and 120 miles (193 km) west of Birmingham, Alabama. The population was 25,944 at the 2000 census and 23,640 in 2010. The population in 2012 was estimated to be 23,452. Columbus is the principal city of the Columbus Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the larger Columbus-West Point Combined Statistical Area. Columbus is also part of the area of Mississippi called The Golden Triangle, consisting of Columbus, West Point and Starkville, in the counties of Lowndes, Clay and Oktibbeha.

To begin with, my sandwich was great. The consistent product I expect from a Subway. However, service was inconsistent. The girl who made my sandwich was friendly and efficient. She also had patience which she exhibited while serving the total idiots in front of me. The girl who checked me out, however, was disinterested and seemed like she could care less if I got what I ordered or was cashed out. Management should easily be able to figure out which is which.

I was disappointed in the food here. I had high expectations when we went in because of the menu variety and nice atmosphere. The club sandwich was prepared on a sub roll instead of the traditional toast. The Asian salad would have been better with a less vinegarry dressing. The chicken in the salad was sparse and tasteless.Bevsawyer, Thanks so much for the feedback! We are always striving to expellantâs I apologize that you were disappointed in the food this visit. Sounds like you got a pick 2 item where at this time you cannot substitute the breads. Our club sandwich comes on wheat toast and cut into 4's normally unless on pick 2 or you choose a different bread. I apologize that this was not explained to you at register. We stopped by United Deli and Grocery after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were staying in Columbus for a football game in Starkville on 9/29/18. When we pulled up our wives thought we might be at the wrong location so they stayed in the car. We were definitely at the right spot. The owner was very nice and we enjoyed the conversation. We got chicken salad, rolls, cheese, and cookies to take to the game for tailgating. The food was delicious and if we ever get a chance to be in the area again it will be a must stop destination for lunch.
