This is supposed to be a landmark restaurant for the McComb area. I thought the food was average and the prices a bit high. Our waiter was terrible, we had to ask him several times for things like hot sauce and butter. He never offered desserts either. The atmosphere is nice and plenty of parking in across the street in a parking garage. It's in a historical part of McComb.

Great fried catfish. Get the cole slaw for side. Famous for it. They shred their own cabbage. Got boiled shrimp last visit. Great. But we usually get the fish fried or baked. Service is always excellent and food is always hot and plentiful. Casual dining. Thursday night all you can eat fried fish. As I said, the place to eat if youâre hungry.

We eat here about once a year when we visit McConnell. Nothing fancy, nothing great. But nothing Really bad either. They claim to offer New Orleans style food. It isn't. Especially the fried stuff-all over fried. Sounds like I don't like the place. But it really is OK . We keep going back after all . Like I said-dependable and no surprises and a whole lot better than fast food. Servers are always friendly. There is an attached bar that is forgettable. Just eat and go on about your business.
New place opened in McComb so I stopped by and was impressed. This is my 2nd trip and am as happy as I was with the first. Definitely a recommendation to all crab and shrimp lovers

I ate here Saturday 6-8-2019 at 2:20 pm. Hostess no where to Be found for nearly ten minutes. Waitress walking by never acknowledged me standing there or the other three people. Four people ignored. I asked for table for one she tries to seat me at the bar height table. I 64 years old with bad back and knees and I am not sitting at those crappy high tables. She has to clean a table. She leaves the table very wet. I used a napkin to dry my table. Tables needing busing and three waitresses standing at the end of the bar shooting the breeze. Can you say poor Managment of peopleâs time and talent? I get a waitress pretty quick, after all they was standing at the end on the bar. I order water with lemon to drink. Large rib eye medium rare with backed potato loaded, salad with ranch dressing. No rolls. Twelve minutes later I get my glass of water with two lemon slices that was soft and mushy that should have been thrown away days ago. I put them on a napkin, should have never been service to a customer. I finally get my salad and the lettuce was all soft and droopy wilted, it was drowned on salad dressing. I believe they was trying to hide wilted lettuce with the extra dressing. I would have sent it back but was hungry and in a hurry. My steak arrived and was cooked just about perfect. Although it was very fat in the middle of the steak. That was very unusual. Baked potato was small and over baked, skin was very very dry and hard. Waitress name was Amber and needs a little training. She comes buy and puts my bill into the black triangle thing in my table. Never asked how was my meal? Would you like dessert? Would you like a coffee? Or Thank you and please come back!On top of all this the music is to dam loud between 80 - 90 decibels which anything over 85 is damaging to your hearing. I have a decibel meter on my phone and use it almost Daly in my business. I have eaten here many times before and this was my first disappointment with food or service. Management needs to retrain their employees. So I rated todayâs visit as POOR.
