We've wanted to try Mellow Mushroom for some time, as a lot of our friends have said how great the food is. Today, we finally did, while on vacation in Biloxi/Ocean Springs, MS. WOW! The menu is filled with pizza, sandwich, soup and salad choices. We'd been eating so much while traveling, we wanted something light. Both of us ordered the Mushroom Soup and a small Greek salad. I can't remember ever having a better bowl of mushroom soup! The flavors were something I'd expect from a fancy restaurant, and I wish we'd have ordered a gallon to go! The Greek salads were packed with olives, peppers, onions, etc, and I devoured every single bite! The staff was friendly, service was great, and we will certainly return the next time we're in the area.Thank you so much Vickie! It's great to hear that we lived up to the hype. It sounds like you are an experienced diner and we really appreciate reviews like yours. We look forward to your return to Ocean Springs and again, thank you.

Breakfast in a pizza place? I had my doubts, but they really do a nice job. Good selection of omelettes, pretty flexible on substitutions, and the servers were friendly. Portion size was pretty hardy also. Been twice and I'll be back.

OK, I'm a bit of purist when it comes to those who claim "NY style pizza". This makes the cut in my book. Thin and wide, served hot. Spoke with the owner who explains he learned pizza making in Italy, and helped with the family pizza place in Brooklyn, NY. I'll be back. BTW, apparently this is the newest location of outlets in Pascagoula and Gautier. Where have you been hiding all these years?

We specialize in New York style pizza, but we also have pastas, panini sandwiches, burgers, and tons of great desserts. We bring a slice of the Big Apple to the Mississippi Gulf Coast! We love large groups! We have a private dining option which seats 60.

We arrived at Sal and Mookies at 11:20 on a Sunday morning. After 35 minutes, our waitress came over to tell us that the oven had been set too hot so our pizza had burned. (The people at the next table had their pizza already with no problem.) She was sorry and they would make another. Well, it is my experience that folks head to a restaurant when they are hungry, so it would have been nice to be offered a little something to hold us over until our pizza actually came. After another 20 minutes with no pizza we asked if we had been forgotten. The manager popped by to apologize and told us she would discount our ticket. I suggested that we probably should have been offered something while we waited. We were then offered breadsticks which came in time. 40 minutes passed between the original apology and the arrival of our pizza - for a grand total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. Sadly, this one should have been in the oven at least another 5 minutes. When we asked about the discount which had not been applied to our bill, we were told that the breadsticks were given in lieu of a discount. Believe me, this pizza is not worth the wait even on a good day.

Have ordered many pizzas from here that were gluten free. Their GF crust is very good. This store is excellent at getting the order correct even if it is a complicated one. They are consistent and efficient. Really like this store for their GF and regular pizza. The stuffed breads are really good as well.
