Probably only known to locals, it's almost hidden in a residential neighbourhood. If you like fried food and lots of it, this is the place for you. Huge servings of sphagetti with meatballs, ravioli etc. Onion rings are good.Not fine dining but what some would define as "old fashioned real food"Wonderful friendly service

This place is one of Clarksdale's best kept secrets. It is a family run business, being operated by second and third generations. The location is perfect, less than a block from the famous crossroads & it's a MUST if you are visiting Clarksdale, or for a once a week lunch fix if you're local, like me. It is not a really fancy place, but it is clean & has recently been undergoing renovations.THE FRIED CATFISH IS LIKE NONE OTHER IN THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. This place has single-handedly turned me into a catfish snob. I don't even bother ordering it anywhere else anymore because after YEARS of trying, I have learned that nobody can match this catfish perfection. I don't know if it's the batter or the cook, but it is the best you will ever taste. I always get a 2 piece meal that comes with fries & cole slaw, but I prefer to substitute fried okra for the fries. It is mainly a take-out style restaurant, but they have added seating & I recommend calling in your order ahead! It speeds things up quite a bit, because everything is cooked when you order.I can't say enough good things. Don't miss this staple at the Crossroads when you're in town.

After a long day traveling, it was nice to find a local restaurant that serves great fish. At the hotel we asked about a good place to get fish. Sam's Grill was recommend. It did not diappoint. The staff was very friendly. The next time I am in Clarksdale I stop in again. May be get a slightly smaller plate!
