This restaurant was open in the Cotton District under the name Jean's Cafe about a year ago. It was greatly missed, and luckily enough people asked her to bring it back. The main food are the cheese won tons which can't be beat! My granddaughter's favorite is the noodle bowl. Also don't forget to ask if there are any specials.
We had dinner here the second week they were open. The first week of any restaurant operation is chancy, but from now on I may consider the first two weeks to be a risk. The decor is pleasant. Well lighted, nice tables, and we were seated promptly. There was a line to be seated by the time we left. Our waiter was clueless, not just about the operation, but he didn't know what any of the food was. Each of our questions resulted in him heading to the kitchen to ask. Sometimes he came back with an answer, sometimes he did not. He forgot a lot of things. The food all looked good, but looks were deceiving. The rib dish was mostly bones (we know ribs; these were bines pretending to be ribs), and the braised beef dish was at least 1/3 pure fat. After pulling all the thick fat off, the entree was pretty skimpy. All in all, this was a misfire. We may return after they've had six months or so to practice and work out the many kinks.

At lunch there were lots of choices. The entire time we were eating there were at least 2 people tending to the buffet. They were either restocking or wiping up spills. Food was hot. Sushi bar had a number of different offerings. Floors clean. Eight different ice cream choices. We would return.

I asked for Teriyaki Chicken, a side of veggies, and a Chicken Egg Roll. They now serve on 5 inch diameter paper plates. I got one plate of the chicken, which was cold, and one plate of veggies, not very full, which was at best lukewarm. The egg roll was good. They were out of diet Pepsi. I noticed when I got back from lunch that I was overcharged for the "plate" which is two entrees and a side. TWO plates of mixed veggies were shown (as the two entrees?) and the chicken, egg roll, and non-existent soda.$9.42 for that meal? You have to be kidding.
