On a "girl trip" with two college friends of almost 50 years, we had researched The Loft beforehand, and it was recommended again when we arrived in Laurel. The space is in the heart of downtown, with original hardwood floors, brick walls, and wooden beams.Unfortunately, this decor, while charming, did not muffle the sound. We were there on a Thursday night around 7 PM; they have music many evenings, and although we were seated right next to the solo guitarist, we could barely hear his songs. HOWEVER, the food was wonderful! We shared an order of bacon cheese fries, then went separate ways for entrees: One friend had the shrimp alfredo, the other had the grilled shrimp salad, while I had the rib-eye po-boy, which came with a side, and I chose a house salad with the blue cheese dressing they are famous for. The meat just melted in my mouth, perfectly cooked. I want to go back!

Will NEVER go here again. Been to Laurel several times and this was the first time we stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings. It is conveniently located right next to our hotel and my daughter chose it for her birthday dinner. The server must have been new as she was not good at all. She asked my son in law 3 separate times what he ordered. She brought my daughter a wine when she ordered something else. She didnât bring her the correct drink until probably 15 minutes later, AFTER I asked her about it. I had to get my own water refill and had to grab our own silverware from the cupboard behind us as our server disappeared. Took almost an hour to receive our food. My daughters small order of boneless wings were cold, tough, and disgusting. She felt ill after eating and couldnât even eat them all. My son in law tasted them just to see a d he was also disgusted. My grandsons macaroni and cheese was obviously sitting out for a long time as it was not only cold but, stuck to and formed to the cup it came in. My black bean burger was delicious however; the server messed everything up and didnât give my son in law and I the correct toppings and had to go back to get me my lettuce, tomato, and pickles, and I gave my son in law my lettuce and onion. I had asked for no onion. My fries were inedible. They were cold, hard, and just down right disgusting. Our server never once asked how everything was or if we needed anything. My son in law has had horrible experience with service in the past and my daughter had excellent. This horrible server changed my daughters mind and we wonât be back. I felt terrible for my daughter as this was her birthday dinner and her food was the worst. She also kept apologizing to us for choosing that restaurant, even though weâve all told her it wasnât her fault, she still feels horrible and guilty. Ruined her 30th Birthday.

My husband and I were in Laurel to help our daughter and her family move over Labor Day weekend. After a very long weekend we went out for a good lunch on Monday. WE both ordered the small sirloin. We expected ok, not great, very pleasantly surprised!! We both ordered it medium-rare. Small steak, not easy to do. Both were perfect. Tasty,tender, absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. Incredible!! Both very impressed!! Lady in the back knows what she's doing with a steak! Thanks for a great lunch.
