The salad and tamales were fantastic. The staff was very nice. But for $65 the porterhouse was lackluster. Requested medium rare, one side was medium and the other side was rare, and it was fatty with a lot of gristle. Not a destination eatery but if you are passing thru worth a visit. Almost everyone else there was sticking with salad and tamales.

Louie’s is one of the nicer restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food is inconsistent. On my most recent visit, I ordered several appetizers (i.e. crab cakes, wonton tacos, stuffed mushrooms) in lieu of an entrée. The crab cakes were overcooked and way too salty (this happened on a previous visit also). They used to be great. The stuffed mushrooms were different sizes, so the smaller ones were tender and the larger ones were undercooked. The stuffing was watery and there was nothing special about it. The wonton tacos were average, which unfortunately was a win compared to the other dishes. Louie’s provides complimentary bread to each table. It consists of cornbread, yummy rolls, and what appears to be blueberry scones. They are delicious with the butter that’s provided. Overall, I do think Louie’s is too pricey for the quality of the food. However, will I return? Yes, due to the limited options in the area.

I was really shocked by how great the food is here. You have to ask for Lee. He literally is the best waiter of ALL time. Never had to ask he just delivered and was not an annoying waiter. He forgot nothing we asked for. The food will NOT disappoint. I don't live close but crave this food all the time. Cant wait until I can get back to eat there again!
