Jinsei

Reviewed By MandanaJames

Don't let its unassuming location fool you--Jinsei is a fantastic restaurant. Step inside and you'll be transported from a strip mall to a lively, sophisticated restaurant. Its contemporary takes on Japanese flavors works well and makes your belly happy. We went on a very busy Sunday night and ended up eating at the sushi bar, which was so interesting. We enjoyed everything we hadl: the grilled shishito peppers, the seaweed salad, the bubblegum roll, the steamed buns and sashimi. The cocktails were excellent as well. They don't take reservations, so go early.

Kabuki JAPANESE STEAKHOUSE

Reviewed By Gozzies

We had reservations for a party of 7 for the teppanyaki grill. Our drink orders, salads, and soup came out quickly and the service was quick and attentive, but it took 45 minutes for the chef to start the teppanyaki order. We were surprised as the restaurant was not full and we had made reservations days in advance. The food quality was good and the portions were so large that we took a ton home, but the amount of butter and oil used to fry the rice, vegetables, and meat was pretty surprising. After living in Japan for several years, I would say that Kabuki is most certainly not a true teppanyaki restaurant, more Asian fusion. However, I will go back and try the other side of the restaurant. I would have given it 4 stars, but the wait was so long and no one explained what the delay was.

Toyo Japanese Sushi & Hibachi

Reviewed By mngl0betr0tter

We've been to Toyo for the Hibachi experience in the past, which is great. This time around we came in for a non-Hibachi 'date night' meal. The manager instructed our waitress, to put us in a back room with several families with very active children (though there were multiple tables available in the main dining area). We had a wonderful waitress, but given the atmosphere of the 'kids room' was not what we were looking for, we decided to just have appetizers and go elsewhere for a meal.
