Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Vicksburg. Sitting high atop a bluff overlooking the Mississippi and Yazoo Rivers, the city of Vicksburg was the setting of a bloody 47 day siege during the Civil War. The site of this epic battle is now Vicksburg National Military Park, preserving original fortifications and the U.S.S. Cairo, an ironclad gunboat that once prowled the waters of the Mississippi River. Vicksburg is also the place where Coca-Cola was first bottled, a fact that is happily immortalized at the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum.

I stopped in at Cocktails 101 for a weekday lunch after seeing their lunch buffet sign on the street. I wasn't sure what kind of buffet to expect in a cocktail place, but was pleasantly surprised. They had a small spread of southern dishes with fried chicken, country fried steak, 3 or 4 vegetables, and a few desserts. The food was pretty good, especially the vegetables, and the service was excellent, though the place wasn't very crowded. For the $10 price, it's tough to beat in Vicksburg.
Much more choice on Buffet. Cleaner stations, employees better trained to be friendlier. Like it much better than previous owner. Servers much more attentive. However, I find comps much harder to come by with new Waterview program so I am disappointed in that. They don't mind taking all my money but don't want to give much in return.

Visited Monsours for biscuits. the biscuits were great. Along with the biscuits we got good stories of past haunting and got to meet a doll thrown out of the Haunted Doll Museum that was next door to restaurant.

The food was just OK. While our server did tell us that it was their procedure to provide chilled water in the glass bottle we still wanted ice. So, he did bring us ice in glasses, but then he slammed the water bottle down in the middle of the table. It is also our procedure to pray before our food gets to our table. It would have been nice for the waiter to have waited until we finished the prayer. He was placing plates while we were praying. You are correct our servers should be respectful of those who observe a time of thanksgiving before eating. We have cautioned all our servers to make an effort to discern whether guests are in conversation or engaging in a prayer. I appreciate your feedback providing us a teaching moment to improve our staff's service to our guests.I do hope you will provide us another opportunity to serve you in the future.

We landed at the Cottonwood after escaping from our dark and scary room at Cedar Grove - we were asked to join the quiz and it was really fun and very competitive - we didnât win but did well on WW2 American history which isnât bad for NZers! We werenât so good on TV shows or entertainment trivia. However, it was fun which is the most important thing. Having eaten burger etc we really enjoyed our salads as a change. Food and drinks were all good - service fast and friendly - all in all, a great quiz venue should you be in Vicksburg wanting some evening entertainment.

My wife and I dropped in here recently while staying in Vicksburg at the Duff Green Mansion. We had already eaten at Rusty's Riverside grill, so we only needed a drink or two (though other people were eating). There was a guy with a sense of humour on a keyboard keeping the small crowd (either sat at the bar or in small groups at tables) entertained with his singing. The drinks were cheap ($3 for a choice of canned beers), the music & humour entertaining and the decor like something out of American Pickers!Go there!

This restaurant is doing the best job of several that have been renting at our Country Club. They are open for lunch as well as dinner most days of the week. They have fairly quick service. And, they have expanded the dining room area in order to support more service organization meetings and banquets.

Beechwood Restaurant & Lounge in Vicksburg, Mississippi, has earned a reputation as one of the state's top 10 eateries for steaks and burgers. And they've been doing it since 1956. Located at 4451 Clay Street, at the intersection of Highways 27 and 80, Beechwood is an old-fashioned steakhouse that emphasizes southern recipes and a menu of mouth-watering martinis. Add a full bar and live entertainment and you understand why Beechwood is of popular dinner destination. My wife and I started by sharing a grilled chicken Caesar salad. For an entree, she chose the Beechwood Classic, a six-ounce filet mignon with shrimp, baked potato, hot rolls and butter. I passed up the 12-ounce filet mignon with single-loaded potato, sour cream, green onion, bacon bits, cheese and creamed spinach in favor of the shrimp lovers plate, which includes four jumbo fried shrimp, four jumbo Cajun grilled shrimp, four jumbo shrimp scampi, baked potato and steam broccoli. Yes, I love shrimp. Since I was a kid, almost 70 years ago. For dessert, we shared a large slice of pecan pie. Beechwood has been in business for 63 years. It's easy to see why.

10South will be a relaxed & casual restaurant and bar located on the rooftop of the First National Building in Downtown Vicksburg. Guest will have the option to sit indoors or outdoors on the terrace overlooking the Mississippi River. Opening Spring 2014!
My husband had the blackened catfish. He said the fish was very dry. I had the shrimp and grits. It was good but there were lots of different ingredients that complicated the dish. Strawberry cheesecake was very good. The view was outstanding! The live music was so loud we had to shout to hear each other.

I had no idea what to expect, but the recommendations were right! Rusty's has great food. Surprisingly great seafood salads and local favorites. The fried green tomatoes were perfect and the fried soft shell crab was done just right. The same for the rest of our meals. Service was attentive, friendly and prompt. It was worth the detour from I-20.
