Visited for lunch with the family and was impressed. Surprised that it wasnât crowded at lunch time but it was a Tuesday. Or perhaps the location is a little out of the way for some. Nevertheless, the service was fast, food was excellent, ambiance was fitting. Decided to use this place to cater a ceremony. Worth checking out if you are in the area! Enjoy!!

Never was disappointed when I visited Zachary's when in the Columbus area. Wide selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and burgers. The portions are generous. Staff very knowledgeable on food selection and area. Food came out correctly and in a timely matter each time. One day I had a grilled chicken salad and it was more than I could eat. There is a full size bar here with many selections. Parking is a little hard to come by but we found places to park in the back. Zachary s closes early and is not open on Sundays. High recommend this place and will stop here again when in the area.

Great atmosphere a little loud but fun local activity. The food was very good, all four of us had different items and there was barely a speck of food left. Fair warning very young/inexperienced wait staff, service needs some TLC. Additionally donât follow google maps search use the address posted on the web page. GPS takes you a couple of block away.

Traveling through Columbus, stopped and had dinner. Had been a cold, windy day and I was trying to get something to warm me up, so with my club sandwich, I chose the soup of the day, the creamy chicken noodle. The sandwich was good and the soup did it's duty, warmed me up. The soup was a little thicker than I imagined would be, but ok. My friend opted for the ribeye sandwich, which he said was tough and way too much fat. In fact, he had to discard a huge chunk of fat. Not bad, but would not recommend. Probably would choose somewhere else of any subsequent trip through Columbus.Thank you for stopping in while you were in town, and for following up with a review. I am sorry to hear that the soup was thicker than you had anticipated, and that the ribeye sandwich was tough and fatty, which are not up to our normal standards. The next time you are coming through Columbus I would love it if you gave us another try. I will use this review to help in coaching all of our staff to better serve our guests. Look forward to seeing you again,Jody

I was disappointed in the food here. I had high expectations when we went in because of the menu variety and nice atmosphere. The club sandwich was prepared on a sub roll instead of the traditional toast. The Asian salad would have been better with a less vinegarry dressing. The chicken in the salad was sparse and tasteless.Bevsawyer, Thanks so much for the feedback! We are always striving to expellantâs I apologize that you were disappointed in the food this visit. Sounds like you got a pick 2 item where at this time you cannot substitute the breads. Our club sandwich comes on wheat toast and cut into 4's normally unless on pick 2 or you choose a different bread. I apologize that this was not explained to you at register. Please try us out again next time you are in town and ask to speak with me. Thank you again for the feedback and we look forward to improving from it. Have a great week!Sincerely,Aaron Sanders

662 328-6450 Bob Proffitt, owner
Came to Columbus, MS on business where I asked a colleague where all of the locals go for lunch or dinner; he suggested Proffittâs Porch. Keep in mind that it is outside Columbus so if the drive seems long, itâs because of the lush forest of the lowlands. Once you arrive you will notice a large weathered wooden house with a large inviting porch overlooking a lake. The whole staff are gracious and friendly. And of course the food; it is delicious and tasty. My first visit I had the turkey sandwich and the second, I had the white fish gumbo which were both incredible! Now please, do not both with the bubble bees as they will not bother you! Enjoy the food and the views!

We stopped by United Deli and Grocery after reading good reviews on Trip Advisor. We were staying in Columbus for a football game in Starkville on 9/29/18. When we pulled up our wives thought we might be at the wrong location so they stayed in the car. We were definitely at the right spot. The owner was very nice and we enjoyed the conversation. We got chicken salad, rolls, cheese, and cookies to take to the game for tailgating. The food was delicious and if we ever get a chance to be in the area again it will be a must stop destination for lunch.

The steakhouse will fool you. The building is that what you are there for. The steaks for the best I have ever eaten. Every time we are in town that is where we head. The cook is the best and the good thing is you can watch your steaks being cooked. The waitress are very nice and work very hard to make sure you are taken care of. I recommend this place to everyone.

Downtown Columbus
In the past, we frequently ordered to go from this restaurant. However, on my last three attempts, they said they no longer accept to go orders if there are customers waiting at the restaurant. Itâs disappointing that a kitchen canât be managed to effectively deliver food to both people eating there and wanting to take the orders to go, even when the customer is calling in advance. The food was always good in the past, but I would recommend looking at other options for effective service. We will unfortunately will not be returning. My husband drove 30 minutes to Columbus to pick up an order after being told on the phone he could place the order there .I would recommend a re-evaluation of policies by the management. You are losing a lot of business with this policy.

I was visiting a friend in Columbus and needed a healthy option for lunch. I looked at the menu online and saw several good dishes available. The atmosphere, decor, and staff were very pleasant. I had the salmon and my friend had lemon pepper chicken. Both were good and the the asparagus on the side was perfectly cooked. My husband wants to go next time weâre in the area.
