We didn't have a full meal here (we'll be back for that another time), but we took our desert here and a couple of drinks.Service is really nice, friendly and quick. The place itself is very welcoming and has a great atmosphere. The fried KitKat with icecream is a must-take... What a treat!

To be honest, we ventured here because it was rated the 3rd best restaurant in Cagayan de Oro. We really take heed of the advice given by other travelers and most of the time the reviews are quite accurate. We are going out of our way to review this place with honesty, so that other travelers do not make the same mistake we did. This cafe is NOT quite as it appears in the photos. What you do not see is that this is a make shift cafe in someone's home...Not exactly ambient. The food was edible and the staff was friendly enough. I could see this being fine for someone in the neighborhood, but it certainly does not deserve the ranking that it has. If you are visiting Cagayan, I wouldn't suggest you go out of your way to visit here.
Where to eat American food in Cagayan de Oro: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I had to eat here more than expected, but all the food I had was amazing!-The Pescado en Salsa Verde: Excellent!!-Mixed Seafoods Creole: Very very good (the use of green olives was nice and interesting)-Gambas al Ajillo: I will try to emulate this at home...OMG...this was probably my favorite. I had it about 4 times in 12 days. An appetizer of shrimp cooked in garlic, olive oil, & finger pepper...very spicy and garlicy...SO good!!-Peppercorn Fish Steak: excellently prepared and served....most excellent!!Boneless Chicken ala Mexicana...Muy Bueno! The Grilled Squid: one of the few things I did not like. I do like squid, but not here...it was drowned in soy sauce and overcooked.Fish salad: great tasting grilled fish!!My favorite breakfast was the Chicken Tocino....another dish I will make at home from now on.This is a great place within the Xavier Estates Hotel...I highly recommend. Oh, and good coffee too!!
