Been here twice.
1st experience was absolutely passable.
2nd time I visited for weekend lunch buffet. Food on weekend buffet was good.
Service is okay, servers have an indifferent attitude towards guests.
Ambiance is just about average. Tables are cramped together.
Do not take guests or a date over here, I presume that will be the end of story with them.

have always prided myself on writing positive reviews of hotels and restaurants, however...last week, had a coupon for " buy one, get one free" burrito platters at chipotle (the one on sports arena blvd...just trying to be fair to the mira mesa one pictured above)...the order takers did not even listen...ordered no sour cream on both, and while right in front of us (my service pooch and me) they "globbed" large doses of the fattening white stuff...luckily, they re-did the order, but due to their negligence and my keen eye, we will not be going back (with or without the coupon)...there are so many more consciencious restaurants out there (in an' out, del taco) in san diego...thanks for listening...

Plus: Friendly services toward American standard. Dishes are Vietnamese authentic enough. Vibrant ambient.
Minus: Can be a bit crowded and slow during lunch rush hour.
Must try: They made the best sauce accompanied their shrimp or pork spring rolls with the most crunchiest filler. One bite and you will savor the perfect blend of fresh veggie, noodles, rice wrapper with the tasty meat and amazing sauce. A nice treat for your pallet.

I regularly stop here for a quick takeaway when visiting the area for work. For the price it is unbeatable! I normally get a vegetarian combo, takes about 10 minutes, comes with curry, naan, rice, raita, dahl. All great for the price & time. It's in a typical strip mall, so prefer to take it back to my hotel than eat here.

I had Charred Jalapeno Benedict and my wife had Virginia Ham Hash. My wife can’t remember having a better tasting breakfast. This was without a doubt the best benedict I have ever had, although if you don’t like spicy stay away from the charred jalapeno as it is very hot. (I love hot) The price was reasonable and the portions were big. A must go.

This is a unique place. In addition to regular menu offerings, you can order by the pound: crabs, shrimp, lobster and all kinds of goodies. Just put on your bib and rubber gloves and dig in. Do the Alaska King Crab Legs. Also the tomato and basil soup is superb. The fried oysters and mussels were very large, but something I would not order again (being from the East Coast and accustomed to smaller items with different flavors). This is a fun place and a dining experience you will not soon forget.

This place is Taiwanese bakery specializing in baked goods, desserts, and a great sea salt coffee and have some delicious food at the same time, it could be better organized. This place is branch of 85 on Balboa.
It has huge line and slow service especially on weekend.
Some items are not marked with price or name.
But the place is new and fresh, so must try once.
Must try:
whole wheat mushroom, marble taro, calamari bun, and the hot dog croissant. Everything was still warm and super fresh. Sea Salt coffee which tasted heaven. Fresh bread
Things could be better:
Better organized theme would reduce wait time and reduce lot of confusion.

Thai Ice Cream in San Diego, my first time experience - Mind Freezing Experience. Best frozen treat ever I had.
Rolled ice cream is a sensational Thai frozen dessert. This is freshly made Ice Cream, Unlike most ice creams made ahead of time in an electronic ice cream machine, made to order by hand.
How it is made, I also took a video and posted too, The ice cream is made by pouring a base of sweet milk on an extremely cold, yes at -35°C on a steel surface that resembles. They mashed and chopped the toppings and used a metal spatulas to scrape from the metal base. which will yield a magnificent rolls of ice cream. At this moment you die to stuff them in your mouth, yes, I did.
The options are wide and deep, wear your creative hat and order.
1. Strawberry Shorty (strawberry, graham crackers)
2. Cookie Monster (oreo)
3. Fire Cracker (Fruity Pebbles, poppy candy)
4. Curi-ous George (nutella, banana)
5. Matcha Heaven (matcha, red beans, lychee)
6. Thai It Up (thai tea, lychee, condensed milk)
7. Cup of Tea (milk tea, boba)
8. Open Sesame (sesame, condensed milk)
9. Oh! Honey (honey, corn flakes)
10. Berry Heaven (blue berry, strawberry)
I ordered Matcha Heaven, just like the name, it was heaven. Not too sweat, yet tasty. I love the matcha flavor on icecream and the combination with Lychee was killer. The quantity is big, easily could be shared by two. It has matcha ice cream tolls, red beans, lychee and a cookie on the top.
I also tasted Thai It Up perfect blend of thai tea and lychee with condensed milk.
Highlights
*First ever Thai Ice Cream in and around this neighborhood.

We invite you to escape to Truluck's. A getaway for the senses. Come savor the freshest Crab, direct from our own fisheries. Delight in our fresh-catch seafood menu or select tender, juicy steaks prepared to perfection. Then complement it all with delicious wines by the glass and bottle.
What a great experience, our service was over the top and the food was cooked to order and very good. The wait staff was very attentive and always available to provide you assistance for food recommendations and wine selection suggestions. For our appetizer we had the raw oysters and a calamari dish. The Oysters were fresh. For my main entrée I ended up having the surf and turf, with the wait staff's insights I had the New York strip (medium rare) and one pound of Alaskan king crab. This was very good. The wine that we paired with our meal created the balance that we were looking for. Overall outstanding experience and a great meal. I will definitely be back.
