This delightful, little café serves great food from an ideal location. On Karl Marx street, the airy restaurant dishes out delectable fare at good prices. If we return to Minsk we will definitely seek this place out.

La Crête d’Or had caught my eye because it appears to be a French ‘patisserie’, and I often spend my vacations in Nice. I was then just passing by on my way to the theatre; may drop in some other time. The place doesn’t seem...MoreGood afternoon, MuscoviteVT! Thank you for the evaluation and feedback. This place is obviously geared up for huge groups but they were happy to serve us two guys too. I dragged a friend here to sample some beers that they make onsite. I run a brewery and was eager to see what the Belarusian brewers...MoreGood afternoon, Kev B! Thank you for the evaluation and feedback. We are very glad that you liked our restaurant. Celebrated a delightful Christmas Eve here. Excellent food in a very classic environment. You feel very privileged, remembering that you are visiting the last totalitarian state in Europe. Very professional and friendly service, doing everything to make our evening a pleasant stay. Highly recommend the pavlova as well as the apple crumble for dessert.

“LIDO” is a place where national culture and ancient traditions of cooking are valued, a place for meeting friends and having fun for children and adults, friends and business partners, gourmets or comers to drink a cup of flavoured coffee. The administrative department of the President of Belarus is the constitutor of the Republican industrial-trading unitary Enterprise “LIDO”.Restaurant-bistro “LIDO” has received first-price qualification. The first restaurant is located in the center of Belarus capital: 49/1 Nezavisimosti ave. (opposite TSUM, underground station Ploshchad Yakuba Kolasa). The area of "LIDO” is about 1600 sq.m. The Lunch hall is for 180 persons, and banquet halls have 35 and 55 sits. The second restaurant -bistro «LIDO» opened its doors June 14, 2013. It is located 5A, Kulman street (underground station Ploshchad Yakuba Kolasa). Its area is 4000 sq. m. The main advantage of the new institution - its huge capacity. On the ground floor, there is a beer pub with 195 seats and two banquet halls with 35 and 50 seats. On the second floor, there is room for 370 seats. You can not only eat, but walk around the fairy-tale city. A creative approach to the design of distribution lines: a guest here gets a small bazaar where he or she selects and buys a pleasing dish. Housed on the second floor is another unique place - a spacious children's fairytale area where you can relax with the kids, not only during the week, but at any time , but also to organize any celebration with a children's menu and discos, karaoke and soap bubbles for the little ones.
I was brought here for dinner a couple of nights ago. What a cool place for a buffet. I was also told that this is a Latvian restaurant in Belarus. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Two people for dinner costing just a little over $15, and this included tea and dessert. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The staff are friendly and helpful. we wanted a specific vegetable dish and we simply asked and they made one for us. Yes, we waited, and the result was delicious. Could a vegetarian eat here, for sure that would not be an issue. Food choices for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

A great spot - excellent food, drinks and service. And... a menu in English, a real treat in Minsk!
We enjoyed our evening here, watching the spectacle of the Minsk elite passing by. Very classic bistro design. Food was good, service as well, but it was apparent that they cared more about the frequent guests than us tourists. The French inspired menu is pleasant. Recommend the escargots and the apple cake for dessert. Otherwise the food was ordinary.

Kuchmistr serves an excellent selection of Belarusian / Lithuanian dishes most of which date back to the times of glory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, both of its brave gentry and hard-working peasants, not forgetting about local Jewish and Tartar culinary traditions. Our last meal here saw five of us tucking into a range of treats, of which none failed to impress entirely. The surroundings are swish, the service is friendly and there’s a strict no-smoking policy which plenty of visitors will no doubt enjoy in a city where smoking in public is practically enforced. Don’t forget to have a glass of vodka flavoured with horseradish while you’re waiting - or try our fantastic tasting set of 6 self-made liquors and 3 soft drinks.
