My husband and I enjoyed the daily special this evening which was chicken. It was simply superb, cooked perfectly, tender, tasty, juicy, yes, even the white meat. The carrots were likewise perfectly cooked, done but not mushy, flavorful and toothsome. Even the mashed potatoes were delicious. The peach pie which we enjoyed for dessert was good but not up to the same standard as our entree. If you want a view and ambiance, you can pay plenty for that elsewhere. But if you want simply good food, you can't beat the Screaming Eagle. Don't be put off by the appearance of the restaurant or you'll miss the dining pleasure that only a professional chef can produce.

Nice spot to relax and have a quick lunch. The deck overlooks the river and Pelican Pete (world's largest pelican). They have a selection of uniquely topped hotdogs and ice cream for dessert. The staff was very friendly. Added bonus - It's connected to a store so you can pick up souvenirs too.

Family, or by yourself, the food is always awesome! Love there menu and home cooked specials they have. Service is the best in the lakes area! Open year round, I love coming here as a treat. Thank you guys for the years of awesome food!

No 4th of July weekend is complete without a stop at Zorbaz either near Pelican Lake or the Zorbaz in Detroit Lakes. The food is wicked good, the atmosphere relaxed & buzzing at the same time. Our table of six showed up at one of the busiest times of the day and within 20 minutes three pizzas, killer nachos, taco salad, a pitcher of beer, soft drinks arrived. A truly wonderful place to meet friends both old & new. If in Lake Country, go to Zorbaz, it will change your life.... Well maybe not change your life but you'll feel that you've been a part of something that is special.

The Muddy Moose in Pelican Rapids is a great place for breakfast, lunch, coffee, and dessert. They have burger nights on Thursdays and are open an occasional Friday night for a special dinner. The food and service are great!

If you go here, donât expect lavish surroundings. Expect great burgers, fries, and other tasty sandwiches from their grill. The staff is personable and helpful. Check the hours before you make the drive as their hours are quite limited. Sit at one of the picnic tables and enjoy the view of the lake just across the road. We make the drive here several times each summer. Health food? No, just enjoy the REAL burgers (even grilled buns) you got years ago!

We have been coming here for over 15 years and it is consistently great food. If you have to wait for a table, please do! Itâs worth the wait! Burgers are tender and juicy, hashbrowns are crispy and actually taste like shredded potatoes, tangy potato salad, and THE PIE.... huge pieces and always homemade. We got sour cream raisin and coconut cream tonight. Karen and her team cook with love!
