We ate here because we were fishing at Cutfoot Sioux, and this was the only place around for miles to get a hot meal. Went on Friday night with my family after a cold day fishing, unfortunatlely this really is just a bar that happens to have food. We had a pizza and walleye fingers - the pizza was pretty good (I wouldn't say it's the best like they claim), and the walleye fingers were heavily breaded, which isn't really my taste. The waitress may have been the only waitstaff on besides a young girl occasionally busing tables so it may not have been her fault that she took so long to take our order or give us our bill, but that's all she ended up doing. Never smiled, never checked on us as she rushed by, never apologized for ignoring us, and definitely never asked us if we needed our empty cups refilled or anything else. We just sat with empty cups through half our meal until I managed to ask the bus girl for a refill, and more waiting when we were done eating to get the bill. She was busy yes, but she had time to laugh with patrons at the bar, and stop at other tables to actually wait on them; maybe if we were having alcohol we would've gotten better service? I wouldn't stop here again, even if it is the only place for miles - it's not worth it and I already wasted enough time here just for a pizza.
Where to eat American food in Deer River: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Good size portions here! I normally eat all my food served, but not tonight, portions are good-sized. I had the cod, done just right along with auGratin potatoes. Dinner plate also came witha bowl of their chicken wild rice soup. Soup was good but it would have been better with less cream of mushroom and more wild rice. Great service! Hot food!

We stopped by and enjoyed an appetizer combo as well as a Hawaiian pizza and a taco pizza. We both liked it all but probably liked the Hawaiian better. We took a lot home and the Taco was awesome cold!!! We have had a lot of different pizzas here and have enjoyed them all! Staff was very nice! We have bowled there a few times and just love the atmosphere!!!

went for dinner. The food was actually very good, except the mashed potatoes were only lukewarm (butter didn't want to melt on them). I had shrimp and my husband had the prime rib kebobs-enough food for 2 men. He was surprised when he took his first bit - good tasting primer rib meat. It's pretty nice looking "northwoods" restaurant, super cold inside though. I had a sleeveless dress on and was cold - my husband was fine.My shrimp was crunchy and not greasy, the veggies perfectly cooked and not mushy (the one thing I hate is mushy vegetables). The server was really nice and very friendly. It wasn't very crowded and for the amount of people they were quite slow. For the type of the restaurant it is, I thought $19 was too much for my shrimp dinner, the $16 or $17 for the kebobs seemed worth it since there was so much food (although the bulk is veggies). All of these being said, I'd go back.

Compared with other bar/grill types of places in the area Florios is on the high end price wise. My husband and I have been twice and both times we were unimpressed with our food and surprised by the bill. I would say the Locker room in Coleraine is a very similar type if establishment. Locker Room is less expensive and they hit it out of the park with their food so I'm not sure how Florios can get away with charging over $10 for the most bland tasting chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life and fries that weren't salted or seasoned. Just...not good food.
