We've been going to Cabin Fever for years and years (even when it was The Oaks, for frame of reference). It's a good place to come for family get-togethers with lots of room and decent prices. Hadn't been there in a little while because I was gone all summer -- and now it's just not the same. They changed the menu a little bit, eliminated some of my go-to foods, and raised the prices. Service was really slow, too.The most disappointing part was the food. My 2 dinner companions had a burger and fries, and both said their burger was just "mediocre" and the fries horribly oversalted. I had the Caesar Salad which was pretty awful. They used the wrong lettuce (spring mix rather than romaine) and their homemade dressing was pretty bad and reminded me of room-temperature mayonnaise. I ate maybe a third of my salad and literally left and went to a fast food joint for a burger. I'd like to give them another chance since this was one of our top restaurants in LF, but every single comment I've heard about them in the last 2 months has been negative. Maybe once they iron out the issues with having new owners and staff, they'll be able to provide the high quality food and experience we're used to.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. It's a nice little bar with a large menu. They were grossly understaffed however. Our server was also the bartender. Business picked up over the lunch hour and I didn't see any other help arrive. The food was good. Fries are really good.

As the name indicates, MGB&G is located across from Camp Ripley's main entrance. So obviously was frequented by service men and women as well as several local residents while we were there. Since it's only about a mile off highway 371, its also a good location for travelers like us heading north on fishing trips to Canada. They had daily food and nightly drink specials, as well as Happy Hour from 3 - 6. The menu has a good variety of appetizers, salads, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, dinners. MGB&G had a variety of beers on draft. All ours came ice cold. I tried their California burger. The paddy looked of fresh-made ground beef and tasted grilled instead of the usual pre-formed, freezer-aged, char-broiled burgers most places serve. The fries came hot and crispy. We also tried the chicken dumpling soup. It actually contained dumpling dough-dollops instead of some kind of noodle most places pass off as a dumpling. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, came back several times to check on refills. The inside is huge. Several side-rail seating, high tables as well as low table areas, a long horseshoe shaped bar, DJ/band stage, dance floor, arcade games, darts, pool tables. There looked to be about a dozen boxes of pull-tabs behind the bar. See MGB&G's website for info on hours, activities, menu, etc. The only downside might be, unless I missed a set of restrooms, there was only about 3 stalls in Womens?
