A late Thursday night in June... and this is the place you want to be if you want loud music and looking to hang with millennials looking for a good time. Everyone here was having a fun. Several ambitious bartenders were working hard to be sure that everyone is being properly looked after. Since music is not overly loud, people are still able to carry on conversations without having to scream in someone's face to be heard.After being in fantastic Irish bars in Ireland and around the world, I'm not sure what is Irish about this place. I ordered a Guinness, but that's as far as it went for me tonight. Irish music? Not here. Then again, how in the world could you pull off a traditional Irish pub with live Irish music in Grand Forks, ND? Here's hoping.No Irish food here either. You want food? They say they have two different kinds of frozen pizza for your munchies... Pizza Corner and Heggies pizzas. However, I saw no signs of food while I was here.

This place has been around a long time, but different owners. The old Bonzer's had great sandwiches and wild rice chicken soup that was out of this world. This has become more of a bar setting with food available, and not that great of food plus it's expensive. Will not be going back.Hi Vicky. After a quick look at your TripAdvisor profile I see that you were told that you weren't allowed to bring minors into our establishment. This is an unfortunate reality, as Grand Forks city code no longer allows us to host people under the age of 21 - a rule that was not our decision, and one that we have many concerns over. I am not sure where or how you have determined that Bonzer's is under new ownership, as my family and I have always been running the establishment that we opened in 1982. I am also confused by your comment about our sandwiches and soup, as our menu is the exact same, only with new additions, as it always has been. All of the same ingredients are used, including the chicken and wild rice soup, which we still serve. Further, I am not sure where your assessment of our menu prices comes from if you never actually were served here. We feel that our prices are very competitive and one would have a very difficult time finding a sit-down place with similar fare and lower prices. Lastly, what I find most interesting, is that when you were told that minors are not allowed on the premises here at Bonzer's, your second choice was another establishment that maintains a "must be 21 to enter" policy, but managed to get served there. You left them a glowing review, and even got another shot at us in your post. You have to understand why someone in my position would be a little frustrated and concerned by your public, online "review."

The Boardwalk has a nice atmosphere and decent food. I have been here for a wedding and just with friends and family. I feel as if the food is hit or miss on what youâre going to get. It is a little on the higher end side for prices but you do get a good portion size .

They Have Really Great Beer Here! There are also plenty of tasty eats! Seriously, check this place out! Many nights a week throughout the year, they have musicians performing here as well. As a teacher, I really enjoy the 2-4-1 beer special for educators on Friday's after work. Thank You! Half Brothers most certainly helps to make Downtown Grand Forks AWESOME!

Visited Brick & Barley Saturday afternoon before the UND game. Fantastic beer selection. The portabella mushroom burger I had was very very good. Excellent flavour. Cooked to perfection. Fantastic bun. Service was so-so. Bar tender did not seem very interested in helping us out. Too bad otherwise I would have made sure to visit this place again.

If you haven't, check this place out!We walked in on a Friday evening and the place was "boom'n!" People really seemed to be enjoying themselves.... drinking and eating.Our server was very attentive!Bartender, though very busy, was quick and efficient!Food order was prepared fast and served HOT! Nice!The main reason we were here tonight was to see the legendary comedian, Bob Zany! (aka Big Dick McGee, Bay-Bee!) He was fantastic!It is great to have a place like Muddy Rivers in Grand Forks! We thought we had a reservation next door at the Toasted frog, but the reservation was called into the wrong location. While we were standing outside wondering where to go, a lady convinced us to go to Joe Blackâs. Iâm really glad she talked us into it! The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional! The waiter was personable and caring. Even though we had a large group (about 10 people) service was fast and efficient. We didnât have any issues.

There are a couple other pizza and beer options in the entertainment district but Up North has the best pizza. Beer selection is very good. Usually can get a table but fills up before UND hockey. Great specials. Only downside is the noise level. It gets very hard to carry on conversation when the place is busy due to the amount of background noise. Too much concrete and glass. Need to find a way to bring this level down.

We waited almost an hour and a half for our food. People who came in after us got their food before us and people who came in before us were still waiting when we got our food. There didnât seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how the orders were filled by the kitchen. There was a bridal shower going on and our waitress kept apologizing for the wait but that was ridiculous. They should have called in more help if needed. My chicken Caesar wrap had way too much salt on it like someone spilled the shaker on it while being prepared and the fries tasted old. My husbandâs bacon and beer cheese pasta was ok but the extreme wait took the glow off the meal. The waitress made sure our beers were refilled immediately. No wait there.

We had a family get together the night before my brother's funeral. First time at Sickies since Whitey's closed however there is a Whitey's Underground (?) downstairs that pretty much does catering and charges for the space.We arranged to get an area which was partially enclosed and seats 22. Plenty of empty tables nearby to accommodate the 30 in our group.They have over 50 different burgers. The one I had had about 5 meats on it--to much for me so I shared the other half with another family member.Very accommodating to our large group and didn't charge extra for the space. Wide selection of beverages and food so everyone found something they liked.Also important that it is handicapped accessible from both entrances in the restaurant.Thank you! We really appreciate your generosity. It's always nice to know that we are moving in the right direction.
