A truly year-round destination, the city offers activities for every season. In winter, one can explore the downtown area through more than seven miles of glass-enclosed skyways. No matter when you visit, Minneapolis offers lots for everyone to enjoy.

Need a good lunch or dinner (or for that matter, breakfast is served all day), in this semi-upscale urban neighborhood--everyone goes to the Lowry. The quality, variety and service are all good, and the prices are reasonable (maybe not for the Mickey Mouse pancake!). The place can be noisy as there are lots of hard surfaces and the tables close. All in all a reliable meal for these annual visitors to the Twin Cities.

We arrived for lunch and the host was not friendly at all. Walked up to the podium/desk and just looked at us....then one of us said how many will be in our party awkwardly. Once seated took several minutes for the server to come despite the empty restaurant. Once we got going with our order we didn't see the server again for refills or anything until our food was ready to come out. After we got our food the server came around a little more to see how everything was. The food was just okay, nothing special about it. Wish I could say something better about this place because it is a great location and was excited to try it out, however, was essentially let down.Dear 4marleed,Thank you for your honest feedback. I sincerely apologize for the concerns you shared regarding your experience. I've discussed your comments with our team and we are working diligently to prevent a similar situation from occurring in the future. I hope you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations the next time you are dining in the area.

Handcrafted burgers. And a whole lot more. Providing a sophisticated twist on the classic neighborhood tavern, Red Cow celebrates finely crafted eats and drinks with a focus on gourmet burgers, craft beers, and fine wine.
Overall a good experience. Was going to do a Reuben, but was afraid of being disappointed. Iâm pretty picky about my Ruebens. Tried a Patty Melt which was so-so. Came with soggy bottom bread. Ended up eating just the patty, because it was so fat it did not extend to the edges of the bread. Did not care for the sauce they put on it. The french fries were just warm. SO had root beer pulled pork sandwich which was really good, but his fries were only warm too. I hesitate to complain at a restaurant, but I guess I need to do so. I would try the place again, the ambience is great, and it is extremely clean. The staff was pleasant also. We did have the cheese curds which were really good.

Our History Although named for the boats used to catch lobster, Smack Shack was launched as a food truck in 2010 serving lobster rolls from a land-locked downtown Minneapolis parking lot. Owner Josh Thoma had a great recipe and a belief that appetite for
We were a party of 6 and arrived during their happy hour. Good selection of discounted drinks and variety of food options. The valet parking is great, because you can leave your car until the game is over. We shared lobster rolls, chicken with waffle fries, and crab guacamole. Awesome waitress, too.

This is the first time at the restaurant. Went there with our daughter and her friend. The fish and breading were outstanding and the fries were equally as good. The only thing that didn't make the grade was the coleslaw. Not my idea of coleslaw.

"We don't make beer for everyone. Beer for everyone is beer for no one. Our philosophy? Make great beer and food. Have fun. Give a Damn about your community. Be independent. Don't be a dick. Really, our philosophy is better poured than spoken or written.
Large brewery with excellent food. Typically breweries are not known for the menu, but Surly sets a new standard that is hard to beat. Food is perfectly cooked, ample portioned, and extremely tasty. Recommend the brisket with Brussels sprouts and black eyed peas. Large number of brews on tap. Family friendly and cafeteria style seating. Outside seating with large screen TV.

We started with appetizers. They were great! Our choices for our group to share were a cheese potato, corn bread, and catfish pieces. All were delicious. We could have stopped there as they were more than filling. Our group includes steaks and pork chops. they come with various choices of sauces to accompany the meat. This was nice addition to the meal. We didn't leave room for the deserts which all looked good.

New British pub in Minneapolis
I would definitely recommend calling ahead, no matter what day because seating is limited. It saved us an hour wait. Parking is so so, we parked around the corner on a side street, up a hill. When we arrived we were greeted and brought to our table right away. Our waiter was very personable and very attentive. The one downfall is it is very loud and hard to hear the people you are with. The onion and bacon dip was amazing. Steak sandwich melts in your mouth. The braised beef was a tad dry but still good. Overall, it was worth the stop.

The fried cheese curds were delicious. They are served with house make triple berry ketchup (secret: there are 4 different berries in the ketchup but they think triple sounds better). The Cowboy burger with root beer and onion rings is a good reason to return. The service is attentive.
